Topic: The New Denpa Men

Now I’m trying to get the Box Boy voucher from the dark cave, and oh boy I have enough swords to open a rusty sword store now.

@Eel You are ahead of me. I am still stuck at Casino Town. I did get the tooth guy from the event. I took a party of level 1's, took my voucher drop % up to 313, used a Stay 1 turn potion and ripped into these dudes. I was less lucky with the sharp dudes, forgot their names. The game really forces me to equip my level 21s well in order to not get mauled by them, and they seem even less likely to get crits.

Thank the stars the game was gracious enough to give me a voucher. Not only that, I also got a tooth statue. Not the golden one I see on some people's islands, but it's a nice gift. Also another one of those tooth shirts, but I am probably going to sell it. It's worth like 30K or so.

I was a bit annoyed when the battle tower opened up. It seemed like an additional layer of scummy tactics to make me fork out money, but I did well in ignoring it and now I am enjoying the endless grind again.

@Daniel36 oh cool! I didn’t know they gave out statues. I intend to visit the get exp level at some point once I stock up on good potions to finally unlock the recruitable character in there, hopefully I’ll get a statue too.

In terms of main level vouchers, I’m currently only missing this one and two from Cave with Treasure. Every other monster in the Dark Cave was super easy to get (I have like 20 fafnir vouchers!), it’s only the box boy that’s giving me a hard time.

Haven’t visited the battle tower yet, doubt my voucher-focused equipment would be good for that.

@Eel Yeah... the recruitable character. That really ticked me off. I was told there was one behind a second golden door, so I spent 2 Jewels, only to hear she'd only join me after I had beaten pirates. So I spent an extra Jewel for nothing.

Besides, she's probably going to cost you Jewels simply to hire her for one round. Not worth the price of admission.

You are in luck as to the Battle Tower. It allows you to basically set up a secondary team/load out. You can swap them and equip them for combat, and the game will remember your choices within the battle tower, but outside of it you will still have your regular team of Voucher Hunters.

@Daniel36 oh it gets worse, it also declares that you must have the voucher for the enemies that look like it.

So imagine beating the pirates, going back spending another two jewels… only to be rejected again.

@Eel This game, I swear. Well, I may be a completionist, but not THAT much.

Ah, it’s finally done. I have completed all the main level voucher cards.

Now I feel a little aimless, although I obviously still have all the extra levels to complete. But I think I’ll wind it down a little and make time for other games. After all, I did buy Ace Attornye Investigations, and Whispers of Wisdom is coming out pretty soon.

I’ll keep checking in daily though.

This game... so I had tons of cash, figured I'd splurge on casino coins to buy crit 50, gold 100% and stay 3 turns. It would cost me 200k but the return would be worth it. After all, without them I made a lot in the get gold event, would be even more with them.

I figured buying a jewel would be worth it too. It's only a buck.

I swear. Pretty much only cats and hams, and even behind the door it was awful. The few platinums only gave me 1 guy. Blegh. Thankfully I did get a golden key, and two runs later I finished my voucher collection, so that was nice.

@Daniel36 did you have an all-level-100 team? I feel like the encounters are at their most valuable when your team is max level.

@Eel Yeah, all 100s.

Did figure out the casino a little. There's a "researcher" there with some insights. Apparently you need to get into a "winning wave" and the different slots have different conditions. Still worthless at it, but now I can plan it a little more.

@Daniel36 oof then it was just pure bad luck.

Oh by the way I was finally able to recruit the Queen Molar, her rental price is actually just 400g, and her ability is a group charm. It doesn’t seem like she can charm other teeth though, since she refused to do anything against her own kind.

@Daniel36 do you have the blue fairy set yet? If you wear the full set it gives a crazy high voucher boost.

Like, a lot more than the individual pieces suggest.

@Eel Yeah, I am on a 200%+ increase right now. Coupled with boosters gave me 3 vouchers in one run haha.

Unto the Trial vouchers!

Still playing here, but definitely less. Working on Casino Town for the vouchers and the Idol there, somewhere. Bred Excite All yesterday, which was cool. It was extremely satisfying when that little golden tooth dropped its voucher a couple weeks ago in the Get Gold stage. It's awesome that the voucher contributes to the set for Casino Town too.

I wish the game would let me store the unlimited stamina vouchers it awards sometimes. I often am not able to really play at that time much. I walk on my treadmill every morning before work, while I play my Switch. If the voucher drops on a work day, as odds are it does, I can only spend an hour or so before I have to get ready for work.

I'm pournding Casino Town too now for the Dark Dragon, the last voucher I need there.
