Topic: Super Mario Odyssey: Balloon World

This minigame was released on february 22, 2018. It is a very entertaining game for the average player. You can hide your balloon, you have 30 seconds to hide it, and in "find it" mode and you can look for other's balloons. Every time someone searches your balloon and doesn't find it you will be rewarded with coins if someone pops your balloon that person will receive coins. What makes this game really interesting are the several places you can hide your balloons, which route you choose and the tricks throws with capy to earn coins to increase the timer, so that you follow a coin route. Also, the means to add difficulty are glitches and trickjumps very hard to perform.

I'm pretty sure there's already a Mario Odyssey thread. But anyway, I guess I'll share something. I've played Balloon World for 4-ish hours, and I haven't played it (or Mario Odyssey in general) in over a year. It's a fun game mode though!

Well, this fact is not known to many in this mini game. Unfortunately, Nintendo usually doesn't mention all the changes that are applied to a game in an update. Instead, they hide them under the sentence "several issues have been fixed to improve gameplay experience".

I am almost sure of this. After the 1.3.0 patch launched on april 25, 2019 they didn't patch any glitches. However, if you hide a balloon in most OOB places, then your balloon won't show on the list of the 15 balloons you have to choose from when you play online. However, before that update there are many videos on youtube fiding OOB balloons online, even in Metro Kingdom. Weeks ago, when I was playing with Balloon World in my friend's switch in Metro Kingdom I never found a glitched balloon in the lists. Also, when hiding a balloon OOB I didn't earn coins, it seems like the balloon was banned by the game. If not OOB, minutes after that someone tried it.

I haven't unlocked yet the minigame because years ago I decided to delete my progress. I would need to complete the story mode again, which is quite tedious.

If time goes by and noone has popped your balloon balloon yet probably your balloon will expire and it will be deleted automatically, I don't know. Try to play Balloon World in Metro Kingdom, then if you find there a glitched balloon playing online let me know because that would contradict myself.

I don't know why this is not told anywhere in the community of Mario Odyssey.
