It wants to know your zip code to know in which state you live so it can calculate the tax.

Since you don't actually live in the US, then your best course of action would be asking a relative or friend who does to "lend" you their address.

You should google tax free zip codes. Some states are tax exempt. Or search for a US military zip code.

Yep, I had the same issue when trying to purchase BOI. Even when using a tax free US zip code, for some reason whenever I tried to proceed to purchase the game after entering all the details the page would refresh and reset all my details, tried several attempts but it kept clearing the entered info. Had to purchase Nintendo US eshop codes from amazon.com using my Mastercard but I had to use a valid US address as my default address on amazon. There's other sites you can purchase US eshop codes but amazon is trustworthy and almost instantly.

It wouldn't let me add my card on the Switch either. I already added one but wanted to add a new one and it kept saying I had to verify info. I went on my phone to Nintendo site and signed in there and it let me add it and buy a game on the site and it carried over to the Switch.

When a retailer requests a Zip Code when using a credit card in the US it (usually) is to verify that you are the cardholder. It checks to see if the Zip Code you enter matches with the card number you entered.

Since your card's address does not match the Zip Code you are entering, it will not work.

@DLAROC I've bought all my games from the US Eshop with Ecash purchased on Amazon. I'll tell you how to get around the address part but you'll need to wait till later today until I'm back home.

Edit, I didn't realise this was a old thread

@SLIGEACH_EIRE PlayAsia is a singular entity, so it takes a singular verb, has. You just erroneously changed an editor in chief's copy. All is forgiven.
