As the only threads about this game are over a year old and hoping for it to come, I thought I would create a new one that could talk about it now that it is coming. Mostly, though, I have a question for those who have played it. I have it on PS3, and can anyone tell me roughly how far into the game I am?
I just went through the mechanical/pig city and found out I'm actually in the past. I went up on a spooky mountain path or something with lots of ghosts. Sorry I don't remember many specifics.
This is where I died and stopped playing. That was probably over a year ago since I never play the PS3, so if I'm not close to the end I will try to sell it and get the Switch version. Thanks.
It opens the door for Ni No Nuni II, if this sells well.

@8CurryPowderKeg79 It sounds like the issues that Nintendo Enthusiast brought up are an anomaly. Some of the comments on the review suggest it may be because of a corrupted SD card, or that it's the same error that users have experienced after downloading games from the eShop, which can be fixed by turning the system off and on again. Nothing to do with the game itself.
A couple of Switch games mess up in weird ways when there's still data left in the RAM from other games (happens if you switch a lot between games and never shut the console down).
I think DOOM and Wolfenstein II have that bug where you can not move your cursor in the option menus unless you restart the console. Chariot (Demo) had very sketchy laggy cutscenes. But I think Troll and I was the first Switch game that had a problem like this. You had to absolutely restart the console before it was even playable. I guess Ni no Kuni just has the same RAM-overflow bug. Thankfully, in these cases a console shut down and restart is all that's needed to fix the problem.
Playing now, and this game is glorious on Switch. It’s an absolute stunner. And the game itself is really freaking good! Even just from the first 2 hrs I can say it’s way, way better than the first 2 hrs of Ni No Kuni 2.
I am overjoyed with how great this game looks in handheld mode. And with just how good the game is.

My first experience with crashes was with the Tomb Raider reboot on PS4 that January after launch. I had never experienced a game crashing on me before that.
Since then I have gone on to experience a number of crashes in a number of games. Which has made me take a precautionary approach with pretty much every game I play nowadays. I save often, and I save in alternating slots just to ensure I don’t get stuck (a warning from my brother).
I heard a few people had experienced a crash in this game so I’ve been saving about every 15 minutes, just in case.

Guess I'm used to saving often from games before auto-saves became standard Apart from those that have no option for it, I save manually regularly... Had the odd crash with various games & it seemed to most often be a manual save that was most recent
Good idea to let them know about the issue as well, though
I've not had any performance issues so far. I'm a short few hours in and really enjoying it. It's a beautiful little game and I can't wait to sink more hours into it
Ya game plays great. Very high quality Switch port here.
And it’s a really, really good game. As expected. I almost repurchased a PS3 for this game a few years back. So glad I didn’t.

Ugh, I was looking forward to playing this over the weekend, but it appears that AmazonNA order was misplaced. Now I have to wait until the 2nd before I can file for a refund/replacement. Oh well, something else in the meantime I suppose.
