Hi everyone! I found out last week that reprints of Switch games can have patches included alongside the base game. This is mostly limited to games published by Nintendo, but there are a bunch of third-party titles where this happens as well. I've also found that sometimes even first runs have a patch on-board.
Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a maintained list of these. As I like making lists, I have started a list of Nintendo Switch cartridge revisions, based on information posted by others: http://www.benoitren.be/switch-cartridgerevisions.html
This is where I need your help:
Check the back of your cartridges for the revision number. It can be found as the last three digits of the identifier below HAC-008.
Delete the game's update data. You can do this through Data Management. Don't worry, your save data won't be deleted, and you can re-download the patches.
Check the version number. On the Home Menu, highlight the game's icon, and press +. The pop-up that appears has the version number below the title.
Post the revision number, publisher, region, and version here.
I have Scott Pilgrim vs the World purchased from Best Buy (still published by Limited Run Games) and it has version 1.0.2 on the cart, but the code on the back is AX4WA22B001 instead of ending with 000.
