It seems like a pretty decent game so far. I never got to play the original version back on the previous generation. So far the only issue I'm having with it, which is a big issue, is the camera and aiming. The movement controls just seem really jerky and laggy. It's extremely difficult for me to aim accurately. Is anyone else having this same issue??

Looking forward to the review from NL before I consider getting this on Switch versus Ps4.

The original game was stellar, but it did have a few camera/control issues that were pretty easy to overlook for the most part.

@Danksparce Yeah, they definitely should've added Gyro-Controls. Would've made it a lot easier and smoother. Hopefully they'll consider doing that in a future update, if possible.

No gyro controls at all? Seems weird considering there was a Wii port with decent motion controls.

I got very few complaints about this game! Camera acts like something from the days of PS2 platformers sometimes but it's the best ghostbusters game ever made so I'll take it!

One of those games I missed during the PS3/360 era, so of course I grabbed a copy.

It'll probably be a while before I get to it though.

So I can understand your issues @Nahr_Alma. Sometimes I'm aiming directly at an enemy. But the hit detection is off. My cursor or bullseye is on an enemy completely but it's not registering. My biggest issue is in the hotel( fishing ghost section) Where you have to shoot the candle stick spiders that come off the wall. I was no doubt hitting them and nothing. Other than that I love the game. Big Ghostbusters fan growing up but never played the original.

Yeah very tempted to purchase it. Probably won’t though.

So the first experience, I was playing it docked with a pro controller. I just tried it out again in handheld mode with JoyCons and it was a much smoother experience. Maybe there's just some issues that needed to be patched for either the pro controller or docked mode.

Played the library level last night which was supposed to be one of best/ spookiest parts of the Game. It was super eerie even for a family friendly type game. Walking around in the completely dark library with only a flash light and books flying all over the place, and bookshelves flying across the screen right in front of you actually gave me a couple good jumps lol. I'm at what i believe the final boss of the library section. I stopped playing last night at that point since it was getting pretty late. This is shaping up to be a solid budget release I'm glad I got. It was between this or yooka day 1 and i chose this for the whole Halloween theme/October thing. At $30 it's well worth it, At least for the 3-4 hours I've played so far. And dont expect it to be a push over either. There's some hard points in the Game, At least in my opinion. I'm playing on normal btw.

Hey guys just curious. Do any of you turn off the targeting reticle while playing this? I know it makes it hard to know when ghosts are getting weak but the thing just bugs me floating there on the screen all the time.

The aim is goofy on purpose because the proton packs have imense kickback. You can buy upgraded in the game to help

At the cemetery stage in the Game which may or may not be the final stage. Total awesome setting around this time of year. Theres actually some zombie like ghouls too!

I was VERY disappointed after buying this game. As a huge Ghostbusters fan, I loved the Wii version and was well pleased when I heard about the Switch port. I wasn't that fussed if it wasn't much different from the Wii version.

But not having gyro controls for aiming is criminal and every time I've tried to play it, I've ended up losing my temper and returning to Link's Awakening or Mario Odyssey. Unless they release a patch to enable gyro controls for the proton packs, the game will stay at the bottom of my pile of games.
Which is a massive shame.

beat it and loved it . Lack of gyro didn’t break it for me . Probably would have been cool to have though , never played the wii version so I didn’t really see what I was missing out on .

The original release of this title on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC didn't have gyro controls. The additional effort to add them and work with the character models would have made this game take longer to remaster and release. Also adding to the cost. You can always hold out hope that the developer Red Fly gets to remaster their Wii port of the game.

I liked the Wii version. Without gyro? Really?
