@SepticLemon Haha, to think the thing that inverts things would be called the Inversion Nodon. I feel a bit silly now. Still need to familiarise myself with A LOT of Nodons, as I’ve still only used an absolute fraction of the total.

Thanks as always!

@Maxz Yeah, the one thing this isn't good at is giving you enough tutorial projects to understand all the nodon. Unless you already understand what it might mean from previous experience in programming, you might not know or miss thing entirely. The best bet is to skim read the Nodonpedia when you get stuck.

.....I may start up this thing again since I'm done with some other game, if anyone wants to help me figure out some stuff. xD

I still want to figure out if I can make a ball rolling game where I'm tilting the stage itself, I think I got it working the way I wanted ONCE, forgot what I did when I made one small change and could never figure it out again. >.<

I think at that point is where I gave up and played other stuff for a while. lol

@Joeynator3000 I’m not much of a Redditor, but I stumbled across the GBB Reddit page the other day and there were loads of videos from people explaining for advanced concepts. Might be worth a browse, as you might find some YouTube videos/creators worth paying attention to.

Anyway, I have yet another question! I have a 2P game with a shooting mechanic, made by linking the B button to the ‘produce/generate object’ Nodon (not sure that the actual English name is). I want add a delay of a few seconds after the game starts so that the players can’t immediately start shooting from the beginning, but can shoot freely after a specified time. I feel the Timer Nodon and possibly the Start Nodon are important, but I can’t link them up properly. The closest I’ve got is delaying EVERY shot by a couple of seconds, but I don’t want that.

Any tips appreciated!

@Maxz I don't even have an account but people ask so much stuff on there, you can find anything.

Made a multiplayer Sumo game where you roll around on a load of balls, and can’t touch the floor of walls. The aim is to destroy the other players’ podiums before they destroy yours.

@Maxz Did you make the music yourself are is there music in the game?

It looks great keep it up, It would be a cool party game if you made a mario party like game.

@Snatcher There’s a decent amount of preset music in the game, which you can then toy around with (changing instruments, etc.) to the the effect of your liking. I think some people have done various clever tricks with them tools available to make bits of music, but there’s no standalone creation tool like in Mario Paint.

EDIT:

Added a slow motion feature to Super Slidey Sumos, because slo-mo is cool. I think I got it working in conjunction with the music and effects pretty well.

Speaking of music, I had a mess around with the rumble feature and made some pleasant (?) noises.

Finally managed to get this game and spent the entire day making this 3D Kirby prototype:

Tomorrow I’ll try to implement copy-abilities and enemies, I wonder how far I can take this concept before reaching the Nodon limit.

@Octoguy That’s adorable. I’d love to see l how far you can go with it. I’m still some way off programming anything too mechanically sophisticated, but I did add a slow motion finish to my slidey sumo game, which I’m quite proud off. I’m playing in my own here, but you can get a feel for the effect.

I’ve also been tinkering around with the vibration function, and managed to perform a duet (of sorts) with the Joy-Con and Nodon menu.

@Maxz That slo-mo effect looks really cool! I might try to add something like this to my game later.

Wasn’t able to make the copy-abilities today like I was planning, setting up the health and damage system took longer than I expected but I’m satisfied with the results.

Finally done with the copy-abilities!!

Now that I’m done programming Kirby I can move on to making the rest of the game, there’s still 380 Nodons left so the limit shouldn’t be much trouble.

How am I supposed to make a dash move in my 3D game that I am making? I am using a person nodon as the controllable character.

Fire Emblem Three Houses is my favorite game
Ashe is the best character in FE:3H
Waluigi For Smash
The game I want most on switch is a new WarioWare
My favorite movie is Toy Story 3

Ugh, I feel like I was close to doing this before I got sick. I managed to do it perfectly in 2D, but barely got anywhere with 3D. I think it's basically a similar setup, though. Someone else could explain it, but you basically have to make use of the Comparisons, And, and I think Map/Invert nodons.

@Ferdinand_Von_Aegir The way I got it to work was to attach a Moving Object to the front of the Person Nodon, set the output type of the button connected to the Z-Axis of the moving object to “on press”, then use a Map Nodon to change the button’s output to -1000. You can make the Moving Object bigger to get a larger dash, hope that helps!
