Oooo Hellblade got Shovel knight in the first round. I'll vote for the underdog. Like them both, but Hellblade is fab. Very well put together game about mental health. If you haven't played it, and like games with a good story. Definitely pick it up.

Poor Hellblade... That’s a rough bracket. I am well aware it’s great - but Shovel Knight TT is four great games. Plus a battle mode.

Into the Breach v Darkest Dungeon is tough too. I voted Breach, because it’s amazing, but I know DD is also brilliant.

Was not expecting Hellblade to beat Shovel Knight! They are all worthy winners, though. But Shovel Knight, out in the first round? And by a relative landslide? Surprising.

@Krull I said the same. At the very minimum, semi-finals is where it should have departed the tournament

@Krull Yeah I found it very surprising it won by so much, Still I voted Hellblade and I'm happy to see it progress.

@MarioBrickLayer I haven't played Steamworld Dig 2 but I've played the first game. What are the differences between the two, is the 2nd game a lot better?

@Wargoose I can answer that! SteamWorld Dig 2 is a bigger and more structured Metroidvania (not procedurally generated) than the first one. Because the world is designed, rather than randomised, the placement of secrets and gathering of abilities are really well tied together. It’s excellent, up there with the likes of Ori and the Blind Forest. Better, IMO.

Golf Story, though. Tough choice.

I need to go back to Golf Story, I really loved the first few hours, but got stuck trying to convince Max Yards to visit the course and moved on to playing something else! I'd recommend Gold Story to anyone though, but I was so impressed with Steamworld Dig 2, I'd probably put it at number 2 on my list of favourite Switch games, behind Zelda, but ahead of Mario Odyssey.

Golf Story and SteamWorld Dig 2 are both outstanding games. Neither deserves to lose honestly.

Good luck to Furi, I personally think it's the best all round indie game on switch. Its a bit like if you blended Bayonetta with a SHMUP. If you've ever seen the anime afro samurai, it has that vibe to it.
