I will say, I do wish the guac series was more loved. It's phenomenal and deserves to be on everyone's radar. If you even remotely love any metroidvania, youll love this. And theyre regularly on sale.
@NintendoByNature I played through Guacamelee on Wii U, twice in fact and I loved it, brilliant game. If my first experience of it had been on Switch, it would probably have featured in my top 10. I've never got round to the sequel yet though.
I can't really vote here because the only one I've played out of those six is Celeste. It's fantastic but for all I know I might like Abzu more so it wouldn't be fair for me to vote.
@Dogorilla have you played journey, abzu is kinda like that except not quite as good(that's not me knocking it, Journey is great).
I doubt many people have played them all, so I'd vote for the one you like the look of. If you were given the choice to play either which would you pick. If you really enjoyed Celeste go for that.
@BabyYoshi12 I don’t know if you’ve decided on all 32 games but The Messenger, Enter the Gungeon and Dead Cells should really be in there. I didn’t nominate them, because I haven’t played them (apart from a bit of Gungeon), but OorWullie is among loads of people to list them as favourites.
@Krull The Messenger is nominated, the other two aren’t. Also, the last half of @NintendoByNature ‘s weren’t included because we had reached 32, so I’ll add them and the last few rounds will have 3 competitors instead of 2.
Heigh Ho Heigh Ho. It’s off to work (from home) I go.
@Wargoose I haven't played it, but both Journey and Abzu look like interesting games that I'd probably like. I suppose I could just vote for the game that I think I'd prefer in each case; @BabyYoshi12 would you suggest doing that or would you rather we only vote if we've played both?
@Dogorilla I don’t think many people will have played everything, so if you only played one and loved it, vote for it! You could also look up the games (from now one I’ll add links when I post them) and choose the one you think you’d like better. I have played very few indie games (only 1 on Switch), but I know the general idea of lots of others and I’ll vote for them.
Celeste is beating Abzu 3-1 right now, though. I think in the end it will come down to Celeste and Shantae and the Seven Rings for the winner.

Axiom verge vs Stardew valley. Honestly an impossible pick cause both are amazing in their own segment. Went for Axiom verge in the end cause it felt unique and (re-)opened the genre to me. Felt more like a nice gust of fresh air then Stardew did.
A proud Switch owner that's always working on the impossible mission of clearing his backlog.
Ok, I voted for Celeste and Baba is You. I didn't vote in the first poll because I haven't played Axiom Verge or Stardew Valley and I'm not sure which one I'd like more (they're both great, from what I've heard).
@Cissero I voted axiom verge, really enjoyed it. The story I didn't rate that highly, but I love the idea of abilities looking like glitches. The soundtrack was also great. I haven't played Stardew valley but farming sims aren't my thing. Closest I get is Animal Crossing
Depends how the brackets go - but I can see a tough battle between Hollow Knight and Celeste ahead. I’d love to see Golf Story and Into the Breach go far, though - and everyone should give Baba Is You a go. There’s nothing else quite like it.
Going to have to check out some of these recommendations. Never even heard of Crawl.
@Krull Crawl is a great little multplayer indie, you switch roles between the hero and the monsters. You gradually level up, when a player reaches a certain level, they get the option to escape the dungeon. At that point the player has to beat a boss controlled by the other 3 players.
