Please share feedback on what games you've tested and the performance / resolution in handheld boost mode!

Starting this thread to continue the discussion from the article here: https://www.nintendolife.com/features/community-which-switch-...

For more info on what the feature is and how to enable it, see click on this link: https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2026/03/psa-switch-2-update...

If a thread already exists with the same topic or discussion, please close this one. I think this discussion is important, as DF recently had a video highlighting that RE5 in boost mode now hits close to 60fps at 1080p in handheld mode, when previously Switch 1 struggled to hit 30 fps in docked mode.

UpsideDownRowlet

Overall it's great, I just wish I could easily toggle it off in the Quick Menu for when I'd rather save battery life.

"well it appears I am upside down. what ever will I do?"

Good point! I've only tried one game - Slay the Spire. It looks really sharp and plays wonderfully. Battery seemed good but it's not a resource intensive game.

I am eager to play Sea of Stars. I've been holding off and scared that it would look real blurry on SW2 handheld mode. 1080p pixel graphics should be real nice!

You've likely heard, but, just in case, Yoshi's Crafted World looks fantastic. You can see the texture on Yoshi clearly, and everything looks damn near like I'm playing a live diorama or something.
