Topic: Screen Recording Disabled

Not sure if anyone noticed but earlier this month Nintendo disabled the ability to screen record stuff from Nintendo Today, meaning when you try to record or screenshot videos that come up on your feed, it will just show a black screen instead, kinda like with streaming services. Somehow you can still screen record the audio from those videos.

I’m guessing it was intentional and Nintendo no longer wants anyone to take the videos from there, especially the Splatoon choreographies which we have finally been getting some of them in HD, and it’s an absolute shame we won’t be able to record the footage officially anymore, because I actually liked some of them, like Pearl’s Anarchy Rainbow choreography from the 2024 concert. There are probably other ways people still do it, but who knows if those loopholes get shut down too as well as recording audio.
