There is a page on Wikipedia which I will link below 'The highest selling media franchises' of which Mario proudly was very high indeed! Until recently..
In a fairly recent edit (within 4 months) Mario has managed to drop from 36+ billion in revenue made as a franchise all the way down to 16 billion. It is incorrect. And I was reaching out there to the Nintendo Life community if you or someone you know edits on the website?
Here are links that clearly state how much Super Mario has made one from IGN and another from Titlemax, both verify it's more than 16 billion..
I think wiki is more reliable then ign, title max I can belive but I still wouldnt count on it, Have you seen anyone talking about this, and if you think it is a mistake you could send theme a tip so they can change in the case that they are wrong, i'm not good with sales numbers and junk like that so I'm not the guy to really talk to about stuff like that, but nontheless I want to tell you what I think based on what I know.
