lz is right. It can't be refuted. All other arguments are now null and void.

Well Anouma did say a few months back that there was one singular timeline in which all the events take place parallel. You have to remember that Anouma dictates the timeline and direction of the series. What he says goes and he made this decision for two reasons. This lines all the games up as parallel and having three unique starting points. One is going into steampunk (ST) one is super game of thrones medieval (Z2) and the other is somewhere in between (FSA). Two of those three tramlines no longer have gannon either. The 2nd reason is anouma isn't a fan of the lack of backstory in the first two and he GB games and he'd rather put the downfall timeline consisting of most Miaymoto and early capcom games together regardless og logic.

it still works out pretty well imo. Then I don't take it that seriously.

You're going on the assumption that Aonuma had anything to do with this, for all we know it's just something with nintendo's name slapped on it, this isn't canon until they say it's canon

This timeline seems legit to me. It explains why A Link to the Past never mentioned a hero. Perfect logic

I thought I knew a lot about Zelda but this whole timeline business has shown me I really don't know a single goddamn thing.

You beat too it. grrr lol

This Timeline just Cements my theroy that the sheik game was supposed to be and could be still based on the seal war. With the HOT gone the sages have still been awakened and guess who is a sage shiek/zelda.

What Shiek game?

Also before Yasha comes in. Yes during the development of Four Swords Adventures it WAS going to be the Imprisoning War, though it's not when the game was finished and they took out a lot of the plot. But it isn't THE Imprisoning War from OOT since on that Timeline when they snitched to the King about Ganondorf, none of that stuff came to be. It was gonna be their timeline's version of the War.

After Corruption I think Retro Pitched a Shiek based action game. They Instead decided to go with DCKR as the 2D platformers were where the money was.

I'm convinced that the "link fails" timeline is just because he is absent at the time of ganondorf's takeover, not because he was defeated. I made this graphic to illustrate my point :B

@Tendoboy

Thank you for that post. That actually makes sense.

So basically if we ever see a sequel it will be after Spirit Tracks. Zelda 2 is a dead end and maybe after Four Swords? But I don't know. Otherwise is prequels and interquels from here on out.

How is zelda II a dead end?

Ganon's revival is prevented. Kind of a last attempt. I mean after all that trouble of trying to bring Ganon back and they fail again (assuming those were the last of Ganon's minions), and the attempt failing I don't why they would want to drag it on.

As for the rebirth of Hyrule, Spirit Tracks now that's awaiting a sequel.

Now see I always that Link succeeded in OoT and by him succeeding in OoT it went to Link in the Past cause Ganon was sealed in the Dark World.

Oh right, I forgot you're the one who gets to say what does and doesn't happen in a Zelda game. Why don't you just go ahead and make that game you need to fix your timeline, then?

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

They already had the whole triforce to use in that timeline, but eventually everything goes to hell so I guess they didn't. Wouldn't make sense to not use it a second time, so I guess they transform Hyrule into a utopia and they all live happily ever after.

I'm saying what DID happen, there is no way to 'end' the game, save a game over, where Link 'fails' it simply isn't canon, nor will it ever be
