Topic: The SNES Final Fantasy II/IV Pink Tail quest!!!

As I mentioned in a previous thread, I'm once again resuming my quest for the elusive Pink Tail on SNES Final Fantasy II (or Final Fantasy IV Easy Type as I've also read it referred to). It's especially hard to get in this version, as you can't use Alerts to immediately summon the PinkPuffs (or Flan Princess in other FF IV versions). 5 of the ugly pink BLEEP s are the rarest encounter in the room, then there's a 5/94 chance that one will drop an item, and 1/64 that it'll be a Pink Tail. This quest has haunted me for 20 years now. As a result, never have Cecil, Kain, Rose, Rydia, or Edge worn the sacred Adamant Armor on my SNES Final Fantasy II.

This time, I'm giving myself some motivation. I've read in magazines that during his bodybuilding career, Arnold Schwarzenegger would wear clothes that exposed the weakest portion of his body muscularly, to motivate himself to try harder in his training. I'm doing that here by keeping the PinkPuff as my avatar here at NintendoLife until I get a Pink Tail on SNES FF II/IV. It's like my emblem of shame and failure. My scarlet letter (a pink "P" in this case), if you will. Every time you see my avatar, it will also serve as a painful reminder to those of you who also haven't gotten one on this version!

When/if I ever get a Pink Tail to drop, I'll take a pic of it and post it. Only then can I ever change my avatar again here at NL! First I've got to test to make sure the item drop screen stays up long enough to stage it, but I want suggestions on items I can place in the picture, to prove it is indeed me! One item will be Fluttershy, my symbol of ultimate victory over the PinkPuffs and evil then-SquareSoft for making the Pink Tail near impossible to get in this version. My Super NES will also be visible, so you can see I didn't use a Game Genie. I need suggestions for the rest. Nothing weird or embarrassing though. This is contingent on having enough time to take a pic with the objects, but I'll test that out!

At any rate, when all is said and done, my master plan to poison young minds with hatred and madness against Flan Princesses and all members of the flan race will be a success! It starts by replacing my avatar of the ravishing Anne Hathaway as Catwoman/Selina Kyle with one of the hideous Flan Princess. NL's members will come to detest the Flan Princess' hideousness taking the place of Ms. Hathaway's beauty as my avatar. All will detest the detestable visage of the Flan Princess each day they see it that I do not obtain the Pink Tail. My avatar will be a living reminder to all who have also been tormented by their own failed quests at holding the elusive Pink Tail high above their head. The quest for the Pink Tail will be picked up anew by those who have forever given up, fueled by my vengeance and hatred. THE FLAN PRINCESSES SHALL BLEED AND DROP THEIR TAILS OF PINK (well, every now and then, anyway)! IN THE END, THE ENTIRE FLAN RACE SHALL PAY FOR DENYING ME THE PINK TAIL ON SNES FINAL FANTASY II/IV FOR 20 YEARS WITH THEIR UNTIMELY EXTINCTION!!! Not even the vaunted lord of mad jumping can stop me!!!

Depends on whether you consider one of the strongest pieces of armor ever in a Final Fantasy game, the Adamant Armor, to be a trophy or lame! Lame response is lame too. Unless you meant lama instead.

The avatar portion of it I'm "amending", after seeing the perfect avatar at the MLP thread, given my screen name. I'm still going to post a pic of getting a Pink Tail on SNES version and post it here, even if nobody cares. I've never seen anybody on the Internet post proof of getting a Pink Tail legitimately on SNES, so I'd like to be the first!

I still need to know of some objects to put in the pic so I can prove it's me. Fluttershy is a lock, and my mug making goofy faces is a likelyhood...
