@BloodNinja Nah, there's no "upgraded hardware" - this was it. It's year 5 of Switch and they have new "premium" (and premium priced) hardware they're launching. That's it. That's end-game for the Switch other than maybe a cut-back budget Lite-2 with OLED. They're not launching another new model, we'll be onto Switch 2 by then.
I just can't understand WHY they didn't up the spec. Even if it was just to make the eShop and UI run smoother, it really needed a silent, unadvertised bump somewhere, but no, it's apparently just a Lite with a big OLED.
Unfortunately, it's still the best handheld gaming option in town other than exotic bespoke stuff like GPDWin. XCloud really might win me over, but I need a better hardware platform than using my $$$ phone battery in a controller clamp. And a bigger screen. But when I noodle with it it's so much happier than Switch, technically.
The funny thing about the latest insult was that it was over a week after I made the post, it was a very offensive reportable post (I didn't bother reporting it, if someone's going around week old threads and insulting people, whatevs) and more hilarious was being insulted for being a Nintendo fanboy....in a response to a post I was casually insulting Nintendo in PS can be a straaaaange place. So not only do they have no life and insult people in week old comments, but they also have really terrible reading comprehension and a lack of understanding of sarcasm.
@BloodNinja I certainly believe copious amounts of "heat", though most of the time I'd call it anger or stress, can factor into tense situations. Everyone has different anger points, and some people are certainly better at regulating their mood than others.
Stress, on the other hand, can build for months or even years. I've personally experienced the effects of long-term stress; it can affect pretty much everything, such as sleep, behavior, physical/mental health, mental clarity, and more.
In any case, there's certainly a saturation or boiling point that's usually involved. Not to mention many, MANY factors that may culminate into a violent incident.

@Fujimoto-San I knew it was familiar. I'm re-reading that book with from a translator I have never heard of (Stephen Kaufman) and I just finished the chapter, book of Earth. I'm letting it settle in my mind before I continue on. It's an excellent version, geared towards martial artists. You should check it out!
@NEStalgia Exactly, that's my gripe. The OLED Switch is undoubtedly going to be their last iteration of the system, I agree with you completely. They have no need to update it because what is out there is selling so well. Which is a shame! Because everyone buying into it is teaching Nintendo that they don't have to keep striving to be better as a company, they can literally release anything and people will just "eat it," as consumers do. You're right; they really DID drop the ball, very badly. Releasing a Switch with meaningful new features, updating their UI to have simple things like folders and such, fixing their joycon drift issues...they have a LOT of room to grow as a company. It's surprising to see a Japanese company not push for a greater foothold in this generation of gaming.
@Tyranexx Absolutely agreed, there. You nailed what I was eluding to; that heat causes people to let go with their stress and do things that their inhibitions would normally prevent. Like a pot boiling over, the boiling water injures those around them. I think the Hindu religion refers to anger as "Mara," and personifies it to teach people to better control it.
@BloodNinja Right on. I own the book in print and although it's currently sitting on my bookshelf I do plan on reading it soon. I've read a few excerpts and it's quite interesting. I've always found books like that to be a fascinating read.
"as I roll along I begin to find.. things aren't always just what they seem.."
I'm starting to get tired of the Switch Pro rumors. I thought yesterday was a good day, since that meant they were finally disconfirmed, and that people would stop.. but no, leakers who lost their credibility by saying it was coming next year just changed the date again to next year, and people are still buying into it, despite being confirmed that it's all a farce. So many Nintendo youtubers are still treating these rumors as legit as well, contributing to the spread of misinformation.
It's just getting annoying at this point to keep seeing people saying "THIS WILL RUN BETTER ON SWITCH PRO", "THIS IS A SWITCH PRO EXCLUSIVE", or "THIS IS A SWITCH PRO LAUNCH TITLE". Can people just let it go unless it officially gets revealed, instead of just spouting these senseless rumors propagated by people who got things wrong and refuse to apologize for the fact that they got things wrong, or even just say that they got something wrong?
"It is fate. Many have tried, yet none have ever managed to escape it's flow."
@VoidofLight Honestly, I can't help but agree with it. My friend has a friend who believes Smash Bros. character rumors all because YouTubers said so, while my friend and I tell him, just wait for Nintendo to officially announce something. Then again, I have the unpopular opinion where I feel YouTubers have too much influence on what people think about games, to a point where people have an opinion without playing said game.
I'm kind of glad it's not a massive upgrade outside the screen, since I have a friend who just bought a Switch last week. Didn't want him to feel ripped off. He's enjoying it so far too, played some Ninjala together the other night.
@roy130390 Ya I don't go to even'ts or nothing like that, I might play online every now and again but nothing more.
Also what you said is true, wile I do find some moves to be very Stupid I don't want to ever make some won not play that character, Like I said the smash community for the most part is fine, there very nice people, but then you have the people on the other side and there, well not so nice.

@Vortexeo Ken? they got mad at you playing ken? wow you must have alot of skill to play ken bc I suck at him LOL.
Thanks you guys for the reply's, I needed that, I'm going to keep playing P&M, My main of mains is pokemon trainer, been playing him since the brawl days, Funny thing, everyone called him crap till a pro won an event with him, then everyone was jumping on the pokemon trainer.
I'm also trying to learn daisy at the moment, and learn'd steve a little bit to.
Thanks again guys.
Edit: the hate about P&M is not as bad as sonic as (Sorry for me saying as so many times LOL) people were hating on the people who used sonic along with the character, But with P&M people just hate the character and not really the people that use them.
@Snatcher I read your post, but didn't know what to say as I'm just a casual Smash Bros. player, actually, I'm like that with fighting games in general. Outside Smash Bros, I enjoy Pokken and Brawlhalla casually too.
Personally, I just like playing with characters I like to play as. Usually I play as Sonic and Peach most of the time. Try not to worry about it, some of the more competitive people take fighting games seriously. I mostly play to have fun, that's why if I play online, I stick with casual queue or with friends.
Also, isn't ranked mode for people who take these games competitively? I usually don't play ranked online since I like hopping into an online game to unwind and have fun.

And I just want to be clear as I feel like I wasn't in my post. Its ok to hate a character, the only time I'm not ok with some won playing a hated character, is when they use a toxic play style, If you use a toxic play style, ya your going to get hate, I mean back then and it isn't very much now, But people hated bayo back in smash 4, You could play bayo back in smash for and people would mainly be fine with it, as long as you did use the toxic play style.
and like I said the OP P&M and sonic thing, has come and gone, It just still kinda annoying me to this day when I read those older post.
Also I think sonic would be more liked if he didn't have a moveset that made him, kinda have to time out?
@Sunsy Ya I don't play ranked, I play for like whats a good word for it, half fun and half competitive, the competitive part comes from me wanting to really learn how to play this game and do cool combos, the fun part is me just wanting to have a good healthy match with friends and people.

@NEStalgia When did I ever mention the Spanish inquisition? I've lost track of what I said when and to who. Too hard to keep tabs on the Chit-Chat thread when every day five or more pages get added. I miss the old, slow and mellow Chit-Chat days. Can't we just talk about trains and pineapple pizzas?
P.S.
So, NOW you believe Pro rumors were wrong? I seriously was under the impression that you actually were defending the possibility of it being real in the infamous rumors and speculations thread, which by the way, has now turned into a sh** storm of epic proportions. I've written my final thesis there, hoping to calm the waters a bit, as well as bringing back reason, but we'll see what the most staunch defender of these rumors is ultimately going to do...
P.P.S.
I was right, heheheheheheh.....
@Tyranexx Yeah, I know IMAX theaters, I've been to several. They're okayish, far as I'm concerned. I like to focus on one point, instead of having to keep an eye on an entire dome...
Agreed on not being able to sleep well in transportation. I've gone on quite a few trips by bus and train, and I always come out feeling like a wreck, so it usually takes me a day or so to get myself back to normal again before I can actually start to enjoy my holiday...
P.S.
Thanks for the food compliment. Much appreciated. You as well, @TheJGG.
@ogo79 Yeah, I most certainly did cook that myself, indeed. I may not be able to make cool skeletal statuettes, but I can sure as hell whip up a mean and manly meal. I make a lot of Asian dishes as well, and chili's, oven dishes and so on and so on. If you ever find yourself in my neck of the woods, you're cordially invited to partake in any of my signature dishes. And a couple of brewski's as well, obviously. Or any other drink that's your favorite poison...
P.S.
Liking the green skeleton guy. Pretty cool action figure.
@BongoBongo Agreed to some extent. After now having seen England vs Denmark, and finding it an utterly lackluster match, I'm more convinced (and simultaneously annoyed) than ever, that the Italians will win the cup. The English team just can't compete with that. Heck, they would probably also lose from Spain.
In the match against Italy, they tried the hardest, were the most dangerous from the first minute on, then it slowly degraded, and only had a couple of minor peaks again later on, in the second half, and obviously in the overtime bits. All in all, I found that match to be kinda meh as well, but I felt more of a sentiment that, because of the work put in, that the Spaniards were more deserving than the Italians, but eh... it's football, and things don't always go as they're supposed to.
Today, the Brits also got gifted a VERY cheap penalty, and an infinitely stupid own goal by the Danes, otherwise, things might have turned out very differently altogether...
@bimmy-lee Wow, color me impressed. That's one cool picnic table alright. Does it also explode if you wrap it in too many rubber bands?
@BloodNinja See? THIS is how you do replies to multiple people: you text-wall them and let them figure out the parts that are meant for them...
@Offolsense Welcome back. I do seem to remember your name vaguely, or perhaps you had a different name before? Either way, the Chit-Chat thread is still a pretty relaxed place to hang out in, so you're very welcome to it. Always nice to see one of the more long time members return.
@VoidofLight Indeed. I've always just been someone who rather wait until something official gets announced. I rather stick with that and avoid disappointment, instead of following rumors.
@Snatcher That's a healthy way of putting it too. Learning and figuring out combos just adds to the fun. Sometimes, they'll just happen. I pulled off a babality in a network game of Mortal Kombat 3 (the GOG version can do this) when playing with a friend recently. I did not know what I did, I was mashing random keys and it happened, lol. We both laughed.

So, does anybody have any experience with streaming gaming? I'm planning on starting, already have some equipment I just basically have to set it up and get going. Any tips for the beginner?
