@Octane Nope. Only a couple of different levels/fights, but you can play them as many times as you like. The timed stuff has (fortunately) stayed on the 3DS...

@1UP_MARIO Ah, okay. I do like those games, and I own several of them, on various consoles and on home computers (Commodore Amiga), but I've never bought them full price or even for the price that you paid for it. Bargain bin material, mostly, and always low on my wanted list.

With any console or handheld, I always start with the must have titles, such as titles specific to that system, and of course the big titles, and then we go from there, and add some smaller games and/or indies...

@ThanosReXXX exactly. They were selling this game for 50 pounds in the uk at launch which I thought was crazy but did find it cheaper online.
I don’t usually trade in first party Nintendo games but I think I was just hungry for games to play on the switch.
Games I traded in superbomberman r, arms, Donkey Kong tropical freeze (still have Wii u copy), rocket league collectors edition(bought digital for cheap), Fifa 18 and snipperclips plus.
It was a Zelda BOTW and snipperclips machine for a while until Arms mariokart 8 splatoon 2 came out.

@ThanosReXXX if your a new switch owner. The online game that surprised me in 2018 was mario tennis aces. Definitely recommended title. Short story mode but take it as a great tutorial. Online mode is fantastic and works brilliant. I hate tennis generally but the game play and game mechanics is amazing the game has a great healthy online community, always players online.

And yes, I'm a new Switch owner. Bought it on the 28th of December. Thanks for the recommendation, and I'll probably get Mario Tennis Aces at some point in time, but I'm not much of an online gamer, unless it's in first person or third person shooters, and exclusively with friends, so it'll be a second or third tier purchase for me.

Did buy nearly all the previous games, though. Both on consoles and handhelds, so I've no doubt that I'll eventually get it, but for now, Breath of the Wild, Golf Story and Super Mario Odyssey will keep me busy on the Switch, and then there's also plenty of stuff to play on my Xbox One, so I'll manage, for now...

Speaking of golf... here I am not a million miles away from 40 and I only tonight find my calling.

I fired up Wii Fit U for the first time in a while and found there was a golf swing analysis function that I never knew about.

I don't play golf, and the once or twice I've accompanied a mate to a driving range I've been bored after 3 minutes, but on my very first swing on this analysis jobby, this is what I get:

So it turns out I'm a GD golfing genius and I never even knew it. Either that or Wii Fit can't be all that accurate, which I find very hard to believe...

I've never been one for playing a fighting game long-term. I'm entertained by them, but they often don't have a lot of mileage for me. The only happy exceptions so far are Smash and the occasional romp with Street Fighter.

The local hobby lobby has yarn on sale and I found the softest yarn ever.

I bought a new knitting loom. I'm making a scarf.

I'm gonna miss Arizona. But hey, one more day until Disneyland.

But seriously, the thread wasn’t self promotion and was discussing an eShop game that is frequently on sale for 1¢.

By a person who joined just to bring attention to that game... And lists other game made by the same Dev in their list of favorite games...

They're either a troll or a misguided employee.

@Delibheel I would agree, but the games he listed as his favorites (I assume you are referring to his account bio) are neither developed nor published by the same companies.

So guys, I have learned I can be remarkably lazy. Sometimes I will stay sitting in my chair or under my kotatsu, hungry or thirsty, because I don't feel like getting up to get something.

How about you? Ever do something that comically lazy? (or rather, not do something, lol)

@Heavyarms55 I've stayed in bed for entire weekends, but I dunno if that's laziness or major depressive disorder. maybe both, Idk.

@CharlieSmile I mean, it really could be either, and honestly only you could answer that. But a whole weekend without getting out of bed? I mean you must have at least used the toilet and eaten something?

@Heavyarms55 Once in awhile if I leave my big water cup (seriously, it's 100oz) in the dining room and I get thirsty while playing a game, I'll pause the game and just stare for awhile at the cup in another room. Even if it's not in my line of sight. I know it's there, waiting.

I'm back at work after being off for illness Thur/Fri/Mon. and I have 119 emails and 12 voicemails. Oh, but all the voicemail consist of only "This is blahmcblahberton, please call me back". You biscuit-eaters, my voicemail message plainly asks that you leave a detailed message and reason for your call. This is a corporate phone, I know who called it. So I sent out an email to managers that basically went "if you called me, i'm not calling you back, because you didn't say why, so it must not be important to you".
Accounting is on my shins about some numbers they need, our assistant is out because i don't know, and I've gotta deal with a federal contract that may or may not have allocation past 01/11 unless justice dept gets an appropriation bill signed.
It's good to be back.

@JackEatsSparrows I wish I had the confidence to send out a message like that to my co-workers. "what do you mean you wanted me to teach a class, if the schedule changed, and 3 posted schedules all say math, how would I know it changed to English unless you tell me?! I cannot read your minds, be grateful I can read Japanese! A lot of foreign English teachers can't!" or when they ask me to do more, and I tell them "I'd love to, what would you like, a grammar activity, a game, a culture lesson, what is more? How long do you want it? When do you want? Do you want to look it over first, or can I just walk in and do it? DON'T JUST SAY "MORE"!!!...

Rant over... Point is I wish I had confidence to say that so directly...

Also you totally have my sympathies for that federal contract thing. From what I've followed online, that shutdown doesn't sound likely to resolve itself too soon. But look on the bright side, at least you aren't on the government side, being forced to work without pay, or sent home without pay and no idea when you'll be brought back in...

@Heavyarms55 Well, to be fair, I've got a few ticks in my favor. I was brought on by the CEO directly for clinical work, then an opening in administration aligned with my studies. And having letters behind your name beyond educational degrees gives ALOT of leeway in the health field.
You should see some of these things. It's hee-haw-hilarious.

I think it'll just be a matter of either they don't refer any additional probate individuals or we will contract on a promisary agreement and reconcile the invoices later. Our contract officer is very good at her job. But yeah, it does stink. All i'm gonna say is I wish someone would put the legislative and exec folks in the capitol rotunda, remove all the news cameras, and have the sergeant at arms lock them in until they can get their act together. XD
