I guess this is an unpopular opinion... I prefer headphones over earbuds. Earbuds are more portable, no doubt, but headphones are way more comfortable for me.

@Heavyarms55 I agree with you on the touch-buttons. They're wayyyy too sensitive for my liking. What if I press it by accident? I once did that with my cousin's Xbox One, unintentionally turning it on. Now I have to turn it off...good riddance.

@MarioLover92 I honestly tend to have the opposite problem with touch-buttons, where I end up tapping over and over before it actually works...

Although your Xbox example reminds me of when my roommate in university had Kinect. I used to walk by and say "Xbox shut down" in the middle of his games - because I was a jerk like that.

@MarioLover92 Yeah totally agree with you. Investing in a good set of “over the ear” cans really brings out the sound in music, movies, and games. I’ve never heard an equivalent with earbuds and sound from outside leaks in too easily.

@T7Hokage017 "It's like what I said... everyone has their own likes and dislikes.
I'm fine with people as long as they respect my opinions as I respect theirs."

I can respect this attitude! I honestly love games where you get the role of a or the devil. It has something very appealing to me and I just enjoy the entire atmosphere of hell and learning a lot about all the characters in there. But I can imagine how someone more religiously minded would strongly dislike this.

We don't have to play games that are against our believes, but like you so beautifully explained, if people do like them respect that too.

Cheers and happy gaming T7Hokage017!

Out of curiousity, and to get to know you better, what are really your go-to games?

@T7Hokage017 those are some wonderful titles!

Personally I love RPG's, always have and always will haha. Nice to hear that you have that too!
Besides that I love roguelites to keep me busy. Recently played a bunch of Binding of Isaac and Deadcells. Remarkable games and lovely time sinks that really make me relax.
For parties smash bros and mario kart are still unequaled titles in my opinion haha!

There are not.many genres i really dont enjoy honestly. As long as the game.is well made I'm always willing to give it a try. The only games I find though to get into are point and click and visual novel titles. But i'm always willing to be surprised!

@T7Hokage017 that's wholesome man, awesome
Gaming with friends/relatives is indeed one of the best things out there. I'll give a visual novel a go someday because you said that

@Heavyarms55 You just reminded me of a similar thing that happened at my college's lounge room! I saw someone play Super Mario Sunshine, and when they lost a life and the screen transitioned to black, the game seemingly wouldn't load the next area. Turns out someone else had the remote and turned off the TV at the right moment. It was...unexpected to say the least

I enjoy the MCU films & highly admire what they pulled off in terms of an interconnected narrative over 20 films & 10 years (Endgame was an exciting end a decade in the making), but I feel their strength is dependent on the whole & don't think any of the individual films is particularly interesting or notable on it's own (because of this, I'm completely baffled by the awards season push Black Panther had, which was just as enjoyable, though by the numbers, as almost every other MCU title is).

In retrospect I find myself gravitating to the more standalone or small scale superhero films/series, like the original Spider-Man trilogy, Watchmen, the Punisher, some of the Fox X-Men films, and Into the Spider-Verse when it comes to films I'm actually interested in adding to my collection.

@GroundZero012 Here’s a super unpopular opinion: I don’t like Marvel movies in general. I watched Infinity War once and I fell asleep at the climax. I’ve never been a huge fan of live action movies longer than 2 and a half hours, superhero movies specifically. The one acceptations are The Amazing Spider-Man 1 and Black Panther. I could of said the same about Star Wars at some point in my life, but I recently started watching them and they’re pretty good.

Heigh Ho Heigh Ho. It’s off to work (from home) I go.

My parents have Disney Plus, and honestly I'm always pretty disappointed in their selection. Most of the movies on it I've already seen, and the ones I haven't seen are often Disney's non-Marvel non-Star Wars live action films, which are...not particularly great. Disney's TV animation has largely been poor as well, with even the best Disney animated series not holding up as well as their temporal peers

I'm far more excited for HBOMax. WB, Turner, and Hanna-Barbara's rich collection of animated series, including the Looney Tunes. Films from visionary directors like Nolan and Eastwood. Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and DC Comics films. Plus HBO and WB's rich live action TV catalogue.

Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F

Resurrecting this thread with a new hot take.

Sword Art Online's second season is genuinely good, and at some points, great.

Also the quality is better, earbuds have to compress the music for it to fit through the Bluetooth hole.

Speaking of music, I think The Offspring deserve a lot more respect than they get. They were a vital band in bringing the Californian punk sound mainstream but aren't household famous name like Blink 182 or a die hard infamous one like Rancid. Pretty Fly isn't the greatest song despite being one of their biggest but Smash is filled with bangers.

Anti-Matter

I don't think the cast of Halle Bailey as Ariel from Little Mermaid live action movie was that bad.
She looks gorgeous with dreadlock hair as mermaid.
Also, the fanbase was so toxic with their comments like damned if Disney make 1:1 carbon copy from animated movie because it was lazy, damned for making the live action movie in different way.
I'm sure there will be a lot of improvement from the live action movie of Little Mermaid like the gap filler scenes to explain more about Eric or Ariel, the conflict between human and mermaid, etc.

Breaking Bad is overrated

jump

@FawfulsFury l’d probably agree with that.

I see it as one part Breaking Bad is a zeitgeist show rather than an viewing experience. It hit at a weird time of the internet hyperbole exploding but also had its greatness being undisputed by being grandfathered in by starting before everyone had internet on their phones. It’s particularly painful listening to it’s fans who don’t understand the show yet proclaim it as the bestest because it has been heavily talked about already so the bits that went over their heads gets pointed out to them inviting more people to proclaim it as the bestest ever whilst other high end drama shows they would never touch on their own.

The other part is well it’s spin off Better Call Saul is better.

It’s a fine show though, better than a lot of other crud people watch.

That is one of the examples of a type of thinking that really annoys me. Where you say you tried a couple of episodes and don't really vibe with it and then the "fans" go 'Don't give up, the show gets REALLY good during season 3!' and it is like.. I am glad you have enough free time to watch 2 and bit seasons of a show you aren't vibing with in the vague hope you turn around and love it by the 3rd season, but I do not have that kind of freedom.
