followed up with the news about Illumination and Nintendo film project in 2028 back to back. Not to mention Cinemablend who claimed the schedule for the cinematic universe leading to a smash movie. I Feel the media needs to chill on that one. Nintendo cinema is dominating the conversation.
@GinMiguel It honestly feels like Nintendo's focused more on their movie projects than they are on the gaming side of things lately. Hopefully they don't lose their way and switch industries just because their movie forays have been wildly popular so far... 😮💨
Honestly, I feel like the flurry of news happening at this time is probably more coincidental than anything else.
As for what @TensuraFan7 said about Nintendo focusing more on their movie projects than gaming, no, that's preposterous. The movies are effectively advertisements for the games. Besides, contrary to what some on the internet may try to argue, we're getting as many games as ever. And most definitely, they aren't about to switch industries entirely.
All that said, I am quite displeased at where Nintendo is at with regards to these film ventures. For one, they've been choosing the wrong partners for these films: Illumination was never going to treat Mario well and Wes Ball's poor track record with Directing likely doesn't bode well for the Zelda movie. For another, the Mario Movies' goal of being nothing more than a gargantuan Easter Egg hunt has been a bad direction. This is an opportunity to give Mario a proper story outside of the RPGs, and they blew that chance. Finally, I really wish they would go in the direction of TV shows instead of movies. That way, they could have the best of both worlds by having the same amount of Easter Eggs able to exist in a far more drawn out and moderative manner, while also being able to tell a compelling narrative. Not only that, but since TV shows are probably more accessible to most kids than movies, they'll likely have a greater advertising impact overall.
"well it appears I am upside down. what ever will I do?"

@TensuraFan7 I wouldn't worry about that. The movies are just a secondary avenue for Nintendo, meant to drive consumers towards the company's games, their primary export. If anything, switching to films would probably be extremely detrimental, since they have very little experience in actual filmmaking, as much as Miyamoto likes to pretend otherwise.
