Make a claim, discuss a claim. Go wild.

Nate the hate has leaked a Star-Fox game that was supposedly to be revealed in April on Nintendo today.

My thoughts on these claims are:
Nate the Hate's leaked Star-Fox game is unlikely to be real.
If it does exist, The reveal date for Nate the Hate's leaked Star-Fox is likely to have changed from April to another time.

It must be the Star Fox GP game that's been sitting on a back shelf for about 5 years, next to the Metroid Prime Trilogy and Wind Waker / Twilight Princess HD dual pack.

You guys had me at blood and semen.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

Nothing is true. Everything is permitted.

@gcunit StarFox GP was proven to be a red herring rumor spread to catch leakers

Wasn't there something recently about how these rumors for Ocarina of Time remake and a new Star Fox were also faked to catch leakers?
But even if that's not the case Nate the Hate doesn't have a good track record when it comes to game leaks (remember that Kirby: Planet Robobot remaster that was supposed to release last year?), so I don't believe for a second that there is going to be a Star Fox game revealed this month or anytime soon

@Sylamp I believe there were a couple articles about how Nintendo had released fake information to catch leakers again this year, but I don't believe that it has any relation to Nate the Hate leaks, other than Nate needing to be careful.
I have my doubts about Nate the Hate too, but he does seem to have a source even if he makes stuff up sometimes to fill the air.

I think the point is that Nate's source might be one of the people Nintendo is trying to catch. Trying to stop semi reliable leakers would be the whole purpose.

I desperately want 60fps for Pikmin 4 and a resolution bump to at least 1080p(Docked).
Same deal for Astral Chain, Luigi's mansion 3 and maybe even Kirby Star Allies. Pikmin 1 & 2 desparately need 60fps as well, including Pikmin 3 which also needs res boost to 1080p instead of the current fuzzy 720p.

And is anybody up for a Kid Icarus: Uprising Remaster port? Now with 250hz(Polling Rate) '9'-Axis gyro pointer aiming on NS2, any crosshair based aiming should pretty much get the job done. Now it's a matter of switching the stylus controls up to something else entirely, at least when played on a TV.

Would love a 1080p - 4K port of Wario Land Shake it!(One of my favourite platformers of all time, with 9-Axis gyro tilt controls) that simply doesn't get enough praise, 4K for Kirby's Epic Yarn, Super Paper Mario(9-Axis Gyro pointer aiming), Zack & Wiki running at 60fps + 4K, House of the Dead 2&3 Return, including Overkill with 60fps + 4K & 9-Axis, Sin & Punishment: Star Successor with 4K and....Drum Roll...Wait for it....9-AXIS Gyro.

Haha. pretty much, with the exception of maybe Pikmin 4 (NS2) which is mostly likely bound to happen at some point.

@Yousef- It really doesn't, wishing for something without speculating about why it would come true isn't speculation, a rumor or a leak

The Metroid movie, apparently Universal and Sony Pictures are fighting for the rights to it. It's supposed to be a live action adaptation. I'd like to see it by 2030, if the rights are being argued over right now, that feels like the right timeline, the Mario movie took like 4-5 years for rights acquisition to movie screen 2018 to 2023.

However the rumor doesn't explain the creative side, typically Nintendo wants to find the right creator first and then decides on rights, It follows from their philosophy of only making new games with new ideas. They need a solid creative foundation for any project to be successful. So I'd trust a leak that says who would be directing a metroid movie rather than what studio gets the rights.

I do hope that robobot does make its way on to switch in some form (would love triple deluxe also but if i had to choose 1 it would be robobot) so yeah, am hoping that the robobot thing wasn't a false lead.

it is the games 10th anniversary this year (though for me feels less than 10 years since i first played it during the leadup to star allies so it feels a little fresher in my mind)

yeah thats the one.

though it does feel like its at the very least a safe bet given the series track record of ports and remasters.

Looks like the Star Fox game is real. Guess it remains to be seen if ocarina of time remake is real.

@WoomyNNYes now knowing that Starfox is a 64 remake…I’m thinking it would be very strange for them to remake two N64 games in the same year with OoT.

Especially considering this would be an exact repeat of a previous year (2011).

Wait…2011 was the N64’s 15th anniversary, and now we’re at the system’s 30th. Maybe there’s something in that?

Honestly part of me believes OoT is a red herring despite confirmation of Starfox.

Nintendo is full of surprises…

At least 2'8".

TheSaneInsanity

Its pretty clear to me that they moved star fox to get ahead of the leaks and preserve surprise. The Ocarina remake I hope adds substantial content.
I think the multiplayer in this game might be worthwhile.

Did the NateTheHate Switch Sports rumor turn out to be Fitness Boxing 3 Switch 2 Edition?

steely_pete

@nitrolink I don't think he'd make such an obvious mistake. And also, while I of course don't have any insight into his methods or what sort of source he's getting his info from, it's usually all internal Nintendo stuff. Fitness Boxing is by Imagineer and I'd be surprised if he had any insider info from there.

nitrolink

@steely_pete It's being published by Nintendo, so that's my thought. I don't think anyone has asked him yet
