I've restarted for all kinds of stupid reasons, often unjustified. In Skyrim, for instance, I've restarted because I decided I didn't like my character's appearance. This is especially silly because I know how to edit appearance at any time with the showracemenu command, but felt it was kind of "a cheat". Which it is, but it would be cosmetic.
I've restarted Animal Crossing Wild World because I wasn't interested in my ugly town (the weeds got the best of me).
I've restarted Ghosts N' Goblins because I realized playing it with restore points loses the reason to play this in the first place.
Animal Crossing: Let's Go To The City, because my town was full of weeds...
The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of The Dragon, on the 360, because I didn't get all the achievements in the "official order" listed in the guide...
One time my five year old was beating me in Mario Party 9. It was on the Magma Mine map and through bad luck I kept losing half my coins because I was getting hit with lava left and right! When he rolled a lucky 10 to land on the Boss Battle space, thus ensuring he got the Captain's bonus and extinguishing any hope I had to to finish with more mini-stars than him (even if I got all three bonus star awards), I quickly reset the Wii. No way would I suffer the humiliation of losing to my child.
A person without a sense of humor is like a wagon without springs. It's jolted by every pebble on the road.
