Blue Reflection for me, could not get enough of that game. Until Dawn: Rush of Blood Also, played that over 100 times.

The PSVR is the best VR system on the market today.

@MonadoBoy
That would be MH3U on Wii U. 600 hrs. It was my first.

Rise is, by far, going to smash that though. I'm at 510 hrs on Switch, 15 hrs on PC, and technically, I did put 40 hrs in the demo, so I'm just a few dozen hrs shy of the MH3U record. And, I'm not even done playing on Switch. Event Quests are still dropping and the Sunbreak expansion is coming. Rise will definitely be my first MH game to crack 1,000 hrs.

But it also depends how you count it. I'm at 800 hrs if you combine Generations on 3DS with MHGU on Switch.

  • MH3U - 600 hrs
  • MHR - 565 hrs (total across demo, Switch, PC)
  • MHGU - 400 hrs (total across JP/NA versions)
  • MHG - 400 hrs
  • MH4U - 400 hrs
  • MHW/MHWI - 400 hrs (total across PS4, PC)

I don't tend to replay long games over and over but I do often dip into shorter games (like Lylat Wars/StarFox 64).

In terms of longer games I've played through Earthbound in full at least 4 times.

Racing games have insane replayability for me because you can just jump in and drive. I've already logged over 240 hours in F1 2021 despite only having it since October. Going through a full 23-race season at 50% race distance (45 or so minutes each) is a lot of fun.

Currently playing:
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
Persona 4 Golden
Dragon Quest XI S
F1 23
Xenoblade Chronicles 2

I barely replayed a game from scratch again, the exemptions being Final Fantasy 9 but only cause i didn't finish it the first time. I played through Zelda Twilight princess and Skyward Sword at least twice at some point and there is of course Disco Elysium where i tried a completely new approach to the Story.
If it is just about playtime then i guess Mhw Iceborne and the SSB series take the top Spot for sure.

Skyrim for sure. I started that game so many times because of the mods. Never quite being able to 100%, cause every time something with a mod happened, or i got bored, but once at 1-2 years i start the game again, because the community mods never stops.

Sonic colors DS...yeah really. It’s kinda a yearly tradition where every year on my parents anniversary when we go to OBX I play sonic colors ds on our way there. And sometimes i manage to beat it in a day.
Also sonic secret rings. I know people don’t like the motion controls but after playing it for a bit you get the hang of it. Also Mario + rabbids.

The games I revisit are all masterpieces and usually on the short side. I don't get why you wouln't want to play great games over and over again. Here's my list:
-2d metroid games and prime 1, especially super metroid. Play through it at least once a year and only takes about 1,5 hours to do so.
-zelda a link to the past & link between worlds. I have also played breath of the wild twice finding all the shrines. Haven't really revisited the others in the series that much.
-Castlevania1, 3, 4, new generation, dracula x, chronicles, rondo of blood and symphony of the night. The latter two I've played the most.
-donkey kong country 2 is another annual game for me. Sometimes 1& 3 get some love too

  • mario games. World, 3dworld, bros3 are the ones I play most often
  • crash bandicoot 1-4. Hope crash 5 will see a light of day in the future
    contra 1-3
-mega man 2,3,4, mega man x, mega man legends2

The more lengthy titles include
-fire emblem series. Usually play them on the hardest difficulty or a randomized version of them
-tales of symphonia
-baten kaitos
-lufia2

@JaxonH Wow your list is very impressive and pretty different from mine.
For me my most played monster hunter games are:

  • MH4U - 469 hours
  • MH3U - 464 hours
  • MHGU - 410 hours
  • MHR - 210 hours
  • MHG - 148 hours

I started with 3U and the series clicked for me with 4U, which is still my favorite to this day. Unfortunately I haven't played Rise in months due to a severe lack of endgame content, but hopefully Sunbreak will change that and bring me back. Fingers crossed it'll be as big of an expansion as Iceborne was for World.

Good... good
Now play Dragon Quest

Sisilly_G

I've played Keen Dreams a bunch of times on Switch, so much so that I've clocked up over 15 hours for a game that can be completed in under 10 minutes.

Imagine if they had released the infinitely superior Goodbye Galaxy and Aliens Ate My Baby Sitter games.

I don't have hours counted, but I'm pretty sure I've played through Super Mario Galaxy at least 10 times.

I never replayed any game's really. But I did replay 2 games many years ( nearly 20 ) after I finished them. They were battletoads on the game boy and viewtiful Joe on the gamecube🙄

Well, not counting games like NieR, where you're forced to replay the later half to get the entirety of the game's story, I believe one of my most replayed games was either Animal Crossing New Leaf, or Super Mario 3D World.

@VoidofLight hello. I found super mario 3D to be very short or is there some gameplay I missed in it ?

Ninfan

VoidofLight

@Ninfan Well, it's short, but that's what makes it extremely replayable to me. That, accompanied with the fact that you need to unlock and use every character on every level to 100% complete it.

Wow, that’s an impressive hunting resume! The most I got to was 400 hours with World/Iceborne. After I beat Fatalis enough times to forge a few weapons and his armor, I felt pretty satisfied with my experience and called it quits. For some reason I had a tricky time getting into Rise, maybe I’ll hop back on board with Sunbreak; glad you’re enjoying it though!

@MonadoBoy I'm glad to see someone love Bowser's Inside Story as much as I do! Bowser's Inside Story was also one of my first ever RPGs! I'm sad that we probably won't get any more Mario & Luigi RPGs but I'll hold out hope lol.

The first Xenoblade is also one of my favorite games ever! I was planning on doing another playthrough but I decided to hold off until Xenoblade 3 gets announced. I'm tempted to try out that art inheritance glitch in my next playthrough

Add me on switch if you like Xenoblade :)
