So far the Zeta boss looks soo fun to fight against. There are multiple ways and exploits Samus has in order to take him down and yet, the thing still seems challenging in a pleasing way.
In a way that would make me say, "Aaw man! I almost had him!" with a smile on my face and not, "Son of a b****! This thing is so cheap!"
@Yellowtails Well, I know of at least one who's an otherwise reasonable guy (who actually reigns me in sometimes) claiming the remake is just ripping off AM2R and he'll never support it.

My only concern now is that this is being developed by Mecurysteam who did Castlevania Lord of Shadows but more concerning, the 2D Mirror of Fate release for 3DS. This had kind of mixed reviews.
Hopefully they have learnt from it and have the backing and resources of Nintendo.
I guess this explains why they shutdown that fan made metroid 2 remake, they had their own in development.
Regardless, I'm excited for this. It looks like a pure side scroller version with other M's combat system. As long as samus doesn't speak, I think this will work out nicely.

Just like Zero Mission added an extra segment after the originial ending, this one will add a baby metroid pet sim after you beat it. It will be called "da babeh mode".
