Well actually it was one other - Broken Sword 5. The other game that I backed, Moebius, strangely was the only one that didn't and it was the one that needed the least amount of funding of all three. Broken Age needed the most, incidentally.

ledreppe commented on Feature: Kickstarter's Wii U and 3DS Campaigns...:

I'll probably get shot down for this, but I don't like the way the 3 PC games I've backed have turned out. The developers claimed they ran out of money even though they had reached their goals up to 1.5 times over, so they split the full game and released it in 2 halves. To rub salt in the wound they then made the 1st part available to non-backers and began selling it before the full game was available to the backers. I don't mind them selling it to non-backers, but not before the backers have played the whole game, and not using it to fund the rest of the game so the backers can then play it.

I refuse to back any more until promises can be made that budgets will be properly made and adhered to, otherwise it's a joke of a way to develop a game, and joke of a way for a gamer to buy.

ledreppe commented on Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attor...:

Talk about evergreens (SM3DW), great game it deserves it. My only gripe with it is having to reach the goal pole with every character to 100% it. I'm a lone wolf, and doing this is very time consuming and it dampened my enthusiasm to 100% it.

ledreppe commented on Nintendo Download: 10th April (Europe):

Was hoping Scram Kitty would come out this week. Oh well, maybe next week. Got both VC games, already got Duck Tales (maybe shoud've waited for price drop though), getting Hobbit on disc and don't care for Batman.

In the meantime: nothing for me.

ledreppe commented on Feature: Kickstarter's Wii U and 3DS Campaigns...:

I'm not happy with the 2 of the 3 kick-starters I have on PC. They're all point 'n' click adventure games, and I don't like having them split in 2 and released at different times, because of budget and time constraints. I would rather have the whole game to play at once. Another thing that annoys me, is when the games are sold to non backers, when the promise at the start was that the backers were the funders of the game. This is a bear face lie, and not what I was expecting.

I may continue to fund projects, but it would depend on what's being promised next time around, I will be more weary in future.

Lets just hope the fps is ok in 12 player online. The pro controller will be my controller of choice.

ledreppe commented on Report Suggests That June Could Be Crucial For...:

I'd be sad to see Iwata 'kicked out', I've built up some magical memories (mostly from the Wii era), over the recent past and I give him my 'Official Seal of (Nintendo) Approval for his tenure. Whoever, eventually, replaces him I just hope they steer the good ship Nintendo on the right course.

ledreppe commented on Wii U System Update 4.1.0 Available Now:

"Just how stable can the Wii U get?", not stable enough for me that's what! I've been getting freeze's in nearly every game (about 14 of them) since launch day, and still it happens after 3 major updates, Nintendo get it sorted!

ledreppe commented on Exclusive: Nintendo Developing "Virtual U" VR ...:

Even if it's an April Fool's Joke, I'm not taken in by the VR 'craze' that is sweeping other console manufacturer's. It's another '3D is cool' craze, and as you have witnessed with the 3DS it petered out and ultimately wasn't a selling factor. In the end it was the quality of the games, that eventually arrived, that sold the system.

I'm old enough to remember the VR craze of the early 90's, and I wasn't convinced then, it died out back then and I honestly don't think it's going to change the gaming world in any meaningful way now.

ledreppe commented on Nintendo Download: 3rd April (Europe):

Passing up on this week. Tried super star saga before and didn't finish it, that's all that would interest me. Besides, I'm still playing Layton V Wright, and want to SMK Time Trial this week, so really busy otherwise.

ledreppe commented on Feature: A Look At the Super Mario Kart (SNES)...:

I've spoken to you through the SMK website regarding using a PAL copy on a Super Famicom through an adapter. I've been busy with other games since, but will be giving it a serious attempt next week, and hopefully get a full set of times emailed by then. Thanks for your input, I'm sure I'll learn a thing or two about improving my technique in the near future.

ledreppe commented on Animal Crossing Creator Discusses How Mobile A...:

I have an app that lets me scan in an image or pattern and create a qr code to upload to Able Sisters' shop, for decorating furniture and clothes. So I'm open to further smartphone functionality and integration, I can only see that it would improve my experience, but I would only want to play the actual game on a Nintendo handheld.

ledreppe commented on Renegade Kid Confirms a Console Game Kickstart...:

Probably of no interest to me, don't play Renegade Kid games and I'm getting frustrated with Kickstarter and the way games are released in bits due to budgetary issues. Then being made available to non-backers simultaneously as a cash grab to fund the finishing of the project. What a joke!

ledreppe commented on Industry Veteran Peter Molyneux Warns The Indi...:

When I went on wikipedia I was amazed at the sheer volume of eShop exclusives coming out in April and in the pipeline. It made me worry about the quality of a lot of them. I'm all for this, but I don't want to be buried in a sea of crap this gen.

ledreppe commented on The 3DS is Now Three Years Old in Europe:

Had it since day -1, still remember opening the protective sleeve of my first ever handheld, then opening the system for the first time. I remember hearing the system menu jingle for the first time. It's been a non stop roller coaster since, and I hope it continues for a few more years. Happy Birthday, 3DS!

ledreppe commented on OutRun Confirmed As The Next 3D Classic Racing...:

Never played the original, so unsure if it's my thing. Loved 3D Streets of Rage, was it made easier for the 3DS? Because I died a lot and just seemed to keep respawning at the same point until I finished the game (even on hardest)?!

ledreppe commented on Nintendo Download: 27th March (Europe):

Would've got the SMK download but I already have the original on SNES cart, and the £5.49 discount only applies to the download version of MK8 (getting Limited Edition with t-shirt and keyring from Nintendo store). Will be getting PL v PW on cart, as it's about £10 cheaper.

ledreppe commented on Talking Point: Nintendo's Major Wii U Retail T...:

I'm not bothered about demos for big Nintendo titles, I've played previous entries in many of Nintendo's franchises, so I already know pretty much (with pre-release internet coverage) what a Ninty game will be like. It's when I come across a game that is a new IP or a game that has drastically changed, that I'd want a demo before buying the full game.

ledreppe commented on The Wait for Mario Kart 8 Is Filled With Sunsh...:

Well judging by 2 photos that don't show much track, I'd find it hard to say what I think of Sunshine Airport. Going by previous details I'm know of an airplane taking off while you race down a runway, so I'm sure it's pretty cool.

ledreppe commented on Super Mario Kart Record Holder Sami Cetin Give...:

Watching the 2nd video really makes me want to have a serious attempt at time trialling.

I already have SMK on cart, and I'm getting the Limited Edition of MK8 so while VC deal is great it's pointless for me.

I see some people want a demo, has there ever been a MK demo? In the mean time I'm going into a coma until 30th May!

ledreppe commented on Yoshi's New Island Makes UK Chart Début in 12...:

Agree with others, it's getting too much unfair criticism. I've just finished World 1 and it's pretty solid so far. I do wish the World 1 boss was a little harder, but they probably get harder further on anyway. Give it a chance nay sayers!

ledreppe commented on Mario Kart 8 Pre-Orders from Amazon Japan Get ...:

Pre-ordered the Limited Edition Spikey Blue Shell, red shell keyring and bullet bill t-shirt from Ninty's UK online store.

They should have given chest size measurements for the t-shirts, I'm quite small and 'small' usually fits me off the rack, but proper measurements would've been ideal.

ledreppe commented on Here Are Two More Mario Kart 8 Courses to Enjoy:

"below are the two tracks posted since that last article, perfect for some relaxing Sunday dreaming of what's to come in the much anticipated Mario Kart 8.". Lol, I was doing just that last Sunday in bed while looking at my MK8 poster!

Ordered the Limited Edition with t-shirt and key ring bundle from Nintendo Store.
