It's not a bad game. You just have to approach it with an open mind. Sure, it's not a main-line Pikmin game, but as something extra, something different, it's actually a pretty fun and interesting experience. I played on the original 3DS XL and ran into quite a few FPS drops. It wasn't unplayable, but it might run better on the upgraded "New" 3DS model.
Running at 30 FPS on Switch 2, it looks slightly better than the X360 version, but nothing spectacular. The controls are mediocre, and the HUD feels cluttered compared to Xbox 360. I really expected a better console UI adapt from PC. Worth buying? Probably only on sale.

$70 for a game that's several years old, even with extras for S2, is simply shooting yourself in the foot.
