Only in atmosphere can you even compare Stalker to Metro. This is not a game/series where your idiotic character walks into traps every 10 secs cause of bad writing or knocked out every chapter. Stalker is more of a Fallout game for hardcore lovers. Its an amazingly fun, and I like Metro but def far from each other as far as gameplay is. Do not expect a metro like exp. but Fallout without the hand holding.
So after a few updates i actually got to play this and my general exp. of the game as is atm:
-Game keeps making me set my server to us as it keeps putting me on another countries. Minor but annoying
-Navigating the menus are slow and painful, using the right stick as a mouse pointer
-Added Invert Aim, but still lacks serious basic features in a shooter i.e. toggle crouch, aim, or even giving you different control schemes so left handed players are SOL.
Atleast in the US servers i have yet to find a match with others. Just been playing with bots who pin point snipe with pistols through building walls and vehicles. The pistols will be your best hope of long range kills when starting off. The smg down site leaves you blinded and blocks your vision almost fully.
Worst is the performance. Playing with 5 bots and myself, i was getting serious frame drops when we were all near one another, or esp when a grenade explodes.
Overall, i still wish Nintendo had a return policy on digital purchases as i feel like little effort is being put into this game they are selling on their eshop.
Aug 2021 update- game is abandoned by developers. No updates since last review. This is 100% shovelware and belongs on no platform. I literally have made better and more fun shooters using the old 90's Doom create your own game software. Anything these devs put out on switch should be avoided like its Covid. @Nintendo, pay attention to the things on your eshop and do some quality control. This game is the worst thing i have seen in a long time on the eshop.
