@Josaku Like you say the PSVita/PS4/Xperia is compatible to some degree. My point is that Nintendo is making us wait for so long for simple things that could be done with updates to the current systems we spent money on. It's too little too late. When they come with anouncments like this they are giving up on the console.
@Harry_Legs I'm not that surpried on the whole mobile situation. Sega has done the same thing with Sonic and there is also Mega Man on iOS. That Nintendo is bailing out on a sinking ship isn't that unexpected either. It's a shame though Wii U had so much potential, but what can you expect when it's inferior in hardware and OS compare with other systems.
I wonder what's the point with the new 3DS if Nintendo is making a whole new system that combines handheld and home console? They are really screwing us over if that's the case.
I think it's more in the line of "next gen" or "X platform". But this could easiely been done through a major system update to the Wii U and 3DS. Now it's absolutly no reason to buy a Nintendo console before NX comes out. Well played Nintendo R.I.P.

Well I'm always hyped for a new Nintendo system.
On the other hand I feel betrayed when I spent money on my Wii U, only to get a slap in the face.
