The KH games are great, but what isn't great is having games you bought taken away from you the moment the company decides it doesn't want to pay to keep the lights on anymore.
@Deviant-Dork If I brought up a child getting terrorized in a nightmare that they couldn't wake up from would you think I'm talking about Freddy Krueger or a Pokemon game? Pokemon isn't as kiddy as you think it is.
@Francema Nah gen 9 isn't far away, it should be here this year (most likely at the end) or early next year, judging from how long each generation has lasted in the past, and considering they have the anime to coincide with I doubt that'll change, it's most likely a requirement.
@UsurperKing If each generation had a whole regional dex of new Pokemon there'd just be way too many, and they realised that just after BW as we've seen them cut the new amount of mons in half since then. The amount of work they've given themselves just from the sheer amount of Pokemon, I dunno how they do it. Could be one of the reasons why SwSh is missing 200+ Pokemon. Regional differences make more sense than having 150 new species in one spot. If they wanted to cut out some Pokemon completely and pretend they never existed I wouldn't even be mad. With each generation there's always a new set of beginner game flying type, bug type and a dog that's usually normal type, they're just unnecessary.
@Francema No it's part of Gen VIII. As for if it should be your first, that's up to you. Honestly, it looks like it'd be a pretty fun game to be your first Pokemon game. There's a chance though that a lot of the story you won't understand, I'm sure a lot of things mentioned in the game will have callbacks (or forwards?) to things people that have played the other games know, such as we've already found out that there are ancestors from people we've encountered in the games before. If you want to play a normal Pokemon game, I'd recommend you play FireRed/LeafGreen, it's a remake of the original game and it's really good.
