Now don't tell me this doesn't look like big fun.
LucasArts has just released the first gameplay trailer for the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings, viewable below. Not only do the motion controls look fun (come on, who doesn't wanna wield the whip as Indy?) but the in-game graphics are of a much higher quality than previous still screenshots might have suggested..
Hudson Entertainment USA have been busy, it seems. There are now three more WiiWare titles to look out for!
By far the biggest announcement is a new installment in the Military Madness series (Also known as Nectaris). As you might know, the games are quite a bit like Nintendo's "Wars" series, with turn-based combat involving military units. This new version of the game will not only..
Weaver out, Milano in
Turn-of-the-90's teen heartthrob Alyssa Milano has been tapped to replace Sigourney Weaver as the female lead in Atari's upcoming multi-platform Ghostbusters video game. The 36-year-old actress, best known for her roles in television series "Charmed" and "Who's The Boss?", takes the place of original Ghostbusters cast member Sigourney Weaver, who initially..
Yet another developer has decided to bring some games to WiiWare - Legendo has announced that they are bringing The Three Musketeers: One For All!, previously released for PC, to WiiWare.
This will be a platformer/action game in which you take control of Porthos, one of the famous three musketeers, as you try to rescue your partners Athos and Aramis, and your friend d'Artagnan. You can read the..
It always pays to keep an eye on the OFLC ratings, especially since four more games have now been rated for release on DSiWare.
First of all there are three (count 'em!) titles that may interest fans of Master of Illusion on the DS. They can look forward to playing Master of Illusion: Shuffle Games, Master of Illusion: Funny Face, and Master of Illusion: Deep Psyche on their new DSi. Are these..
We recently came across ESRB and USK ratings for a new WiiWare game simply entitled Colorz by French developers Exkee so we contacted them to find out a little more about their game.
Aside from the screenshot below, here’s what they had to tell us: ColorZ is an original Action/Puzzle that brings a totally new experience of gameplay thanks to Wii Capacities. The game takes place in an alternative..
As the release of the DSi early next month approaches, news of developers hopping aboard the DSiWare wagon continues to pour in.
GameLoft is the newest developer to toss their hat into the ring, as some snooping on the PEGI website will reveal. It looks like Europe will be getting Pop Superstar: Road to Celebrity, which is classed as a "life simulation." Pop Superstar has also been..
Following the announcement of the rather spiffy looking Mighty Flip Champs! by WayForward, we were wondering who would be the next dev to reveal their plans for DSiWare.
Before we could even catch our breath Australian developement team Nnooo sent us a press release about their plans to port Pop to DSiWare under the name of Pop Plus: Solo. Since its WiiWare debut (which scored 8/10 with us), a..
Vitei, the developer behind such games as 1080 Snowboarding and Doshin the Giant, are currently working on a new WiiWare title called Rock N' Roll Climber. Giles Goddard, who was a developer on Nintendo's mega-hit Nintendo 64 title Super Mario 64, is involved in the development of the title.
Not much is currently known about the game other than the brief description from the ESRB website below..
For us here at WiiWare World, April can't get here soon enough. The Nintendo DSi will launch on April 2 in Australia, April 3 in Europe and April 5 in North America. That makes for a pretty exciting few days!
The new DSi (for those intending to buy one) offers several intriguing new features, perhaps the most substantial being DSiWare. And with under a month to go, and expectations high, what..
Arc System Works is bringing out what appears to be the sole new WiiWare release on the Japanese service next Tuesday, a game centred around golf putting called Okiraku Pata-Gorufu (Family Golf Putter). You're able to choose from four characters (a cute anime family rendered in cel-animation style) and try to putt your ball into a series of holes doing various trick shots. Wiimote control only with use of a simple arm swing after setting shot power to get the ball rolling appears to be the interface. The game will be 500 points, we expect Aksys Games will publish this in North America and Europe sometime later this year.
Kalydo Games has just announced that their new web browser-based game Cube: Gardens of Zen is headed to Nintendo's WiiWare service.
While we don't currently have many details on the upcoming WiiWare version, I was able to spend a couple of hours with the PC version of the game and you can check out my impressions below along with the official PC game play trailer for the game. Impressions:The basic..
Avast ya li'ly libbered land lubbers! Aksys Games have put out a press release to let us know that Daddy, Mommy, Sarah and Billy are bored of playing Table Tennis even more bored of air hockey!.
Batten down the hatches and prepare to embark on a nautical themed adventure – ya’argh! Clearly we haven’t been too impressed with the ‘Family’ series from Aksys so far, but who knows, it could..

A recently released lineup of forthcoming games for Nintendo systems has thrown up a brand new WiiWare release called Night Game. Produced by the same team behind the upcoming Cave Story WiiWare port, this title is apparently ‘part action, part puzzler’.

Hudson certainly doesn’t waste any time when it comes to promoting its upcoming games; we only dropped the news bomb on the company’s impending FPS title Onslaught a few days ago, closely following with 6 screenshots which we nabbed off Hudson's website.
It doesn't stop there folks as our pals at Hudson sent over a whole lot more images today for you to marvel at. Our Onslaught gallery has been..
Our contact at Hudson who represents the European region has been kind enough to confirm the WiiWare lineup for the next few months. It should come as no surprise that Snowboard Riot has been penciled in for a February release, as this is now already out in North America.
The games for March and April might come as more of a surprise however: Onslaught (Due March in Europe)Onslaught is a first..
We’ve slowly been getting more and more excited about Taito’s WiiWare update of its classic Bubble Bobble coin-op, but so far our anticipation has been checked by the fact that the game looked destined to remain a Japan-only release.
Thankfully our scepticism was unfounded as the game has just been rated on the German USK database, making a Western release a formality. It's also gained a shiny..
Famitsu have revealed fresh new screenshots and information about Bubble Bobble Wii this week. You can see a translation of their feature here.
So far it’s looking really good, the gameplay of the arcade classic appears to be retained and we are promised 100+ levels of fun. The game also offers four player support and special maps for high score...

The screens are very small, but we can at least tell a few things by looking at them closely - It has the same minimalistic graphical style as the original game (Available on VC), features new levels, and has 4-player support! The...
If you've got one of the popular iPhones and have checked out the library of downloadable games for it, you might have noticed that last month, they released a game for it called Crystal Defenders. In this shameless Tower Defense copy, you put down various character classics from Final Fantasy Tactics A2 (DS) and hope that they manage to kill all enemies before they can get to the end of the path.
Remember Riverman Media? Of course you do, they brought the fiendish falling block puzzler, MadStone to WiiWare back in October.
We enjoyed the strategic gameplay and awarded it a respectable 7/10. If you haven’t yet checked it out, why not do so today? The guys at Riverman have revealed some exclusive new details about their next game, which thankfully isn’t another puzzler. We’re thinking..
Cast your minds way back to the early days of WiiWare. A few developers spilled the beans about the games they were working on. One of those developers who were around at the very beginning were Medaverse with their innovative action/battle game Gravitronix. Heck we first posted about it back in October 2007!
Since then we’ve done an interview with the guys and they’ve even been on TV to talk..
What do you get when you cross the arcade classic Pong with a music/rhythm game? The end result would probably be close to Aksys Game's new WiiWare title Bit.Trip: Beat.
Much like Pong, you still move your paddle around by tilting the Wii Remote, but in this unique WiiWare title you'll have to bounce the blocks off your paddle in rhythm with the pumping musical beats the game makes use of. The..

Watch out kids, there’s a new WiiWare game in town! Equilibrio seems to be a simple, but fun game involving a ball rolling around a giant maze full of obstacles at break neck speed. With a low price point promised, 4 player and balance board support this is sure to be a winner we think.
It’s interesting that we are starting to see more and more WiiWare games also coming out on the iPhone,..
The Australian OFLC recently revealed that Neko Entertainment are porting two more of their old Playstation 2 catalogue over to WiiWare, much like Cocoto Fishing Master back in June, which sadly we weren’t too impressed with.
Cocoto Platform Jumper is another game in the Cocoto series, obviously the title makes it clear this is not another fishing adventure! Actually if you check out the video it..
Alongside Fun! Fun! Minigolf, the next game to reveal its release date for the pre-Christmas slot of Monday, 22nd December is RealArcade’s Tiki Towers. Some might write this game off as a World of Goo..

Luc Bernard’s Eternity’s Child is easily one of the most hyped WiiWare releases of all time and despite months of speculation and chatter, it’s still not available. Having heard about release dates ranging from ‘Christmas 2008’ to ‘sometime in 2009’ we decided to get the official word from publisher Alten8 – who also happen to be handling the coding duties, too.
We’ve been told that Eternity’s Child is DEFINTELY still being worked on. The horrendous delay is due to Alten8 having to totally re-code the game in order to avoid the same pitfalls that seemed to blight the PC rele...
