I really need to get Melty Blood soon...but I can't wait for this one. The only Type Moon related games I did play was Fate/EXTRA & Extella. That's about it...aside from FGO...
As a veteran fan (before Type Moon published in the west), i will definitely get this game as i enjoyed Type Lumina when it came out
Hopefully this game will have Ryougi Shiki (the mc from Gardens of Sinners) as she is one of my mains in the ps2 games and hated that she wasnt in Type Lumina but that goddam annoying cat was in the game (tho beating them gave me satisfaction when i saw their mains online).
Kinda off topic, also noticed that a small company can manage to port to Switch 2 day and date along with other platform unlike a certain anime company that treats us as left overs?
YAY!
Tho, please cut down on the Fate crossovers, I just want the rest of the ACTUAL Melty Blood cast translated into a modern day fighting game.
@MirrorFate2 That too, while Ishikawa and Mash were fun to play, they felt out of place (along with that cat) and also unfair as some previous characters like Black Ren werent in Type Lumna, glad at least they kept Aoko (even if throught update).
Would like to give Melty Blood at least a try at some point, maybe starting with this one - anyway, glad to hear it's coming next year also to Switch 1 and 2!
Please add crossplay for the love of god
Really cool to see this get announced! Hopefully they are able to add better rollback and crossplay this time, then this game is gonna be set up for a very nice and long tife
Damn, at a glance thought this was a Tsukihime other side of red garden announcement. Maybe in 10yrs lol
Hopefully the second half of the Tsukihime remake releases around the same time!
Definitely getting this!
Hopefully, it will just be an enhanced port of Actress Again and won't contain all that Fate crossover nonsense.
"Sorry, we can't include popular character that didn't appear in the original visual novel anyway, because she hasn't appeared in the remake yet. But we can include crossover characters that won't appear in the visual novel, because they come from our cash cow!"
@Dimjimmer Why would they drop the previous Fate characters after all the work they put on them already? Also why would it be AA (Why would you want this anyway after the countless update that game got for years?) when it’s clearly an enhanced update of Type Lumina which reflects the remake universe of Tsukihime?
You are also making it sound like if Saber, Mash, Monto, and Ushi got dropped we would have instantly got four returning Melty characters instead. That isn’t how that works.
I can understand not wanting more Fate characters, but it’s not like arbitrarily shrinking the roster by four whole spots is gonna get you the desired result you want.
How these guests typically work in development anyway is there is usually deals in place where you either get the guests for those spots or none at all. If you don’t think FGO didn’t bank roll for Mash, Monto, and Ushi in particular then I have a bridge to sell you. In Saber’s case she is practically the face of TN so I shouldn’t have to explain why she got in. Saber was always a regular guest in multiple different games. Hell I’m playing Saber right now in HSR.
I don’t understand this unwarranted dooming about possibly more guests. This literal trailer showcased a retuning Melty character (which anyone who played the latest update of vanilla would saw coming that she would be the next addition) and I’m expecting Nanaya as the next reveal since he was the other teased character besides the “A Cat is fine too” loli + their obvious direct connection to each other.
@Arawn93
On second thought, I didn't notice that the announcement said "Melty Blood: Type Lumina is back". My bad. I'll stick to my Steam copy of Actress Again that has all the characters without all those excuses.
Let's gooo!!!
Personally, I would like to see Ryougi Shiki (Kara no Kyokai) and Lancer Diarmuid (FGO) included. I can dream.
@Arawn93 Exactly, the doomposting isn't gonna change the roster. I have fun with Type Lumina (really good game). Have a great day.
@Nao120 "That cat" is part of the Melty Blood cast, wherever you like it or not.
@MirrorFate2 well at least i will still bashing and trolling its mains like i did with Steve, Pyra and Sora in Smash lol
Removed - trolling/baiting
Melty blood, that’s certainly a title
@MirrorFate2 25 and i dont give a damn what people think lmao.
Removed - flaming/arguing
@MirrorFate2 have your own headcanons/virtual signaling i guess 🤷♂️
Please, no censored designs this time....
My guess? We're going to get a lot of characters who are glorified teasers for Red Garden. Gouto, Mio, Dr. Arach, maybe even the real SHIKI. Kind of like how Type Lumina leaned on characters who were in Blue Glass Moon like Noel, Vlov, and Mario.
The converse of this would be that Len somehow has a role in Red Garden, despite being Arcueid's familiar.
@Narrator1 I do hope there won't be any cut.
I just love that Switch family has so many fighting games. Wish Bamco would get their act together though.
I need to hear the magic word 'crossplay'. Type Lumina was kinda dead on Switch, feels like there's no point in buying any ports that can't do crossplay in this day and age.
Glad this now has a precise release date and yep, still interested in giving it a try like I said in my previous comment here back then!
So many promising fighting games...
Unfortunately I think I have my share with Granblue Fantasy Versus and Fatal Fury.
The cast of MELTY BLOOD: TYPE LUMINA enjoys an upgrade, plus a main story and new characters such as Len have been added!
Obligatory Uoh
