A Switch release for indie darling (and hitherto Xbox console exclusive) Tunic has been announced for Switch, and it's coming in just a couple of weeks, launching on 27th September.
Our friends over at Pure Xbox absolutely adored this cute-looking Zelda-style adventure, awarding it an impressive 9/10 when it launched back in March 2022. We've been hoping for a Switch announcement ever since, and it's finally coming.
Looking forward to trying this one on Switch? Played it elsewhere? Let us know below.

Seems like a perfect fit for the Switch. Happy to see it will be out later this month. I will definitely be picking it up.
Aghhhh so many great games coming out and I can't afford them all nooooooooooo
Looks like a fun game. May definitely check it out soon.
Glad to see this is finally leaving xbox. Now the question is switch or PS
I'm really happy this is getting a Switch release.
Here's hoping for a physical release!
This should have always been on switch it's the perfect console for it. Glad we're getting it sooner rather than later
I got this on Xbox and its fantastic, really worth getting for those who never played it.
The game is amazing, played it on Game Pass. I doubt I would buy it again, but for anyone else, this is a no brainer.
*I would double dip for a physical version with that awesome manual included!
@ChadThundercock69 Oh please, it wasn't that bad.
Though -five- different farming ROGs was a bit much, I'll grant.
Super glad this is coming to Switch and so soon!
Future Hopeful Switch Ports/Announcements:
... Wun can only hope.
This is a nice surprise, but the game looked to be running very poorly on the Switch (in the direct). The frame rate looked abysmal and I’m typically not one to complain about that sort of thing. I already played and beat the game on Xbox Game Pass, so I’ll wait until reviews before I decide to double dip.
Besides Pikmin 4, the only thing of interest to me in the Direct.
Brilliant, brilliant game. Hopefully it plays well on Switch.
@wuntyme8
The FF remasters have pretty much been one of my most wanted switch ports since they were announced last year.
Been around 10 or so years since any of the pre-VII games have been on console (both regular and handheld console)
This is one of the highlights from the Direct for me.
That's great news!
I'll be sure to get to this, and Death's Door, and Blossom Tales 2, and Blue Fire at some point.
Zelda Fox! Yeah!!!
My brother asked me whether I wanted to buy his steamdeck. After this direct announced zero interesting games except this one, and it doesn't look like the Switch can actually run it, I think I'll take him up on the offer.
I've been anticipating this porting to Switch, but $30 seems steep.
A Switch release was inevitable, nice to see it launching at the end of the month. Definite purchase for me.
Was planning on grabbing this on PlayStation... Choices!!
@Moistnado it must not be that good if someone wants to sale it? 🙈😂
Really like the looks of this game, but from what I have read of the difficulty, probably will pass. Will see how it reviews on Switch.
This game is perhaps in my top 3, maybe even top 2 from this Direct. I cannot wait to play this!! I LOVE that manual/missing pages concept; that is pure genius. I might even preorder it which will officially be my first ever eShop digital preorder.
@Scrubicius he has two. Wants to sell the spare.
I don’t have the other consoles, so I am very happy this is coming to Switch.
Creating great instruction manuals is a lost art!
Speaking about Zelda... well this was a surprise. I had been admiring the game ever since 2019
For me, a true masterpiece made with lots of love.
I felt the joy of playing as a child again (I’m 41 now). I kept my (lots of) handwritten notes and drawings after finishing the game.
A bit difficult and obscure sometimes? Maybe. But always rewarding.
I’ll buy a physical copy (with a copy of the game’s coin PLEASE) without doubting.
@BlackMayge I caught that too, very choppy compared to Series S or an older PC.
@MindfulGamer You can change it so you can't die for the hard parts.
