Well, we've finally got a release date for Digimon Survive - it's coming out on the Nintendo Switch on 29th July this year.
If that update wasn't already enough, Bandai Namco's box art for this upcoming title has also surfaced online. Courtesy of Gematsu, we've got a look at the stunning Switch case. First-print copies in Japan will also include a download code to add Guilmon to your party.
In the latest video update, Digimon Survive Producer Kazumasa Habu mentioned how the team was sorry to keep fans waiting and mentioned how "more exciting news" would be shared "in all forms" in the future.

Are they trying to be inviting? Like hey everyone, go in this building? It’s a weird perspective, I have to admit. Looks like someone laying facedown in the grass after falling, while everyone else is trying to get to the building. Heh.
Same date as Xenoblade 3. Hmmm what do I get?
Wish we had more gameplay, or even footage in general. It's difficult to know whether this game is worth buying, or if it'll just be a flop.
I’d bet all my 3DS Play Coins that the working title for this was Digimon Legends: Omegamon.
It even has Hisuian Growlithe in the cover. Whaaaaa?
Looks good though.
I wish Gatomon was featured tbh I'm bored of Agumon always being in the spotlight.
@Silly_G Considering how the game has been in development for 4 years, and plays more like a Fire Emblem game, I sort of doubt it. Plus, to make a reference to Arceus, they'd probably use Yggdrasil for Japan and King Drasil for West, since the dub had such a good name for him.
@BloodNinja Look how happy they are to see you fall.
@RubyCarbuncle Can we really complain when most of the digimon on the box have never been featured as a partner digimon though? Those are some obscure digimon right there
Just don't feel it with this game, since I don't like that type of gameplay in Survive.
Wake me up for the next Digimon Story game. Love that series.
@BloodNinja Maybe they are looking at a small Digimon
@Knuckles : Lol. I was merely jesting about the cover (which has a lot of similarities), not the game itself. I also haven’t seen any gameplay videos so far as I’d rather go in blind (where I can), but Digimon meets Fire Emblem sounds great.
Wouldn't be shocked if it gets pushed back again because otherwise this thing's going to get killed by Xenoblade 3.
They are not looking at the ground when the player lies , they are looking inside a digi-portal leading to the players dimansion....
That box art looks great and actually serves as an incentive to go physical for me. I'll still wait for reviews though, the messy development cycle makes me wary.
@Aerona True but still. It's just you see the fire Dinosaur in box art all the time and I just think it would be nice for the cute white cat to shine for once.
@BloodNinja I am guessing the shot is from the perspective of a digimon creature.
@BloodNinja It's the POV of a person collapsed from shock that the game actually got completed.
Though still not fond on the idea It's 70% Visuals Novel, 30% Strategy gameplay. Makes it sound like the Strategy stuff is tacked on.
