Pokémon Legends: Arceus has held onto the top spot in the UK sales chart for the third week running, despite shedding 45% of its sales.
The new Pokémon title held off Dying Light 2, which is available on other systems but has been delayed on Switch. Elsewhere, FIFA 22, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Animal Crossing: New Horizons all retained their positions from the previous week.
The much-maligned GTA Trilogy re-enters the chart in sixth place, while Ring Fit Adventure moves from 17th to 9th, presumably aided by its recent price cut at some retailers.
Here's a look at this week's top ten all formats chart:

I'm guessing its reign will end when Horizon Forbidden West releases, but it's always fun seeing Nintendo dominate a historically difficult market for them.
I i'm actually taking 40 years to do the end game content LMAO. I really need to get on that.
The boycott really worked!
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is not on Top 10 anymore.
I haven't bought a game since November, what about that.
@Rika_Yoshitake People wanted to boykott Legends Arceus? I only know that people wanted to boykott SwSh (and that obviously didn't work)
@Rika_Yoshitake You talking about the GTA boycott?
I do wonder will Mario Strikers beat Fifa 22 in the UK?
Makes sense that PL:A starts losing sales, by now everybody who wants the game has it already, it's still quite impressive that even after a 45% sales drop, it's still #1 on the list, shows how huge the lead was the last two weeks...
GTA came back in the top 10 because of the release of the Switch version, which accounted for 91% of it's sales in that week.
@MysticX Drops like this are normal in the first few weeks. Usually games drop 70% or more in the second week and 50% or more in the third. PLA dropped only 45%. That is a very good sales performance. It will likely have long legs.
Anyone knows how kh cloud version did? How many sales?
dooomed I tell you.
@Damo I know Thursday was a busy news day but is there any reason we didn't get Japanese charts last week?
@Otoemetry You hit the nail on the head - we were slammed with Direct stuff so those were missed last week. Apologies, normal service will be resumed this week!
45% Is really good, this game looks like it's going to have some serious legs. I am still enjoying it almost 60 hours in; it's a fantastic foundation for the future. Now imagine if they take this formula and make it fully seamless with more towns, more ways to catch Pokemon, and of course VOICE ACTING...
16 or 17 hours into PLA and about 50% in the story I guess (according to number of nobles I beat)
if I had time it would have been far more
Great game
@sanderev That'd probably require it to outsell Strikers and charged global sales just in the UK.
@Anti-Matter who cares it’s PlayStation gash! 😬
Wow looks like the gta trilogy did really well on the switch as that would be because of that versions release.
@Linnybhoy
I was concerning Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart didn't get much appreciation as I will get the game first before getting PS5 machine.
No surprise. Arceus is a very nice game. By no means perfect but this is most certainly the way Sword and Shield should've been, not even mentioning the stepback Pearl and Diamond took.
Here's to hoping they will continue this trend.
Wow Dying Light 2 is really struggling to beat Pokemon Legends: Arceus despite being available on more platforms. Probably should had never delay that Switch version, heck probably should had never made it cloud to begin with either.
@BTB20 Wooow, there's really an audience for GTA on Switch.
@Specter_of-the_OLED The game woudn't even be on Switch if not for the cloud, the game could never run on Switch. Also if the cloud version was released the same time it wouldn't impact sales at all as everyone who has interest would buy the better versions.
At this point anything cloud is dead last.
@MysticX I wouldn't underestimate the long term sales of Pokemon. Most of Sword/Shield sales came after its launch month.
@Dr_Lugae True, but the first week or so also has all the pre-orders and stuff, i’m not saying that sales going down is a bad thing, it happens to every game, for anticipated games, there’s no beating those first weeks.
I’m impressed that the sales of the first few weeks minus 45% is still #1 on the sales charts, goes to show how massive those early sales were.
@Damo ok in those circumstances I suppose I'll forgive you, this time 😜
Thank you for your service!
@MysticX Usually a big new release drops between 80 and 90% in week the first few weeks as the vast majority of people that wanted it near launch will get it day 1.
