Update: As expected, an English-language version of the trailer has now appeared courtesy of Nintendo of America's YouTube channel. We've swapped out the Japanese version above, so feel free to give it another watch!
Original Article (Thu 27th Jan, 2022 13:30 GMT): It was only yesterday that we saw the localised 'character trailer #2' for Triangle Strategy, but now Square Enix has jumped ahead with the next video focused on Benedict Pascal. It's in Japanese, of course, but it nevertheless gives another look at characters, settings and game features.
Some of you may recall Benedict Pascal from the demo, which itself took place part way through the story. As mentioned above this video also shows the ability to switch or upgrade classes once you reach a certain level, a genre staple that'll no doubt be important in this title. We also see a similar levelling up tree for weapons, which again suggests that this'll be a title with plenty of depth.
We'll no doubt get a fully localised version of this video in the coming weeks, but we couldn't resist sharing this earlier look - let us now what you think!

I watched just to hear the Japanese speak with such gusto.
Maybe after this releases Squenix will remember to put Chocobo GP on the Switch eShop and website since it's an exclusive digital release so right now the only way you can buy it, you can't. eShop doesn't even have a release date or price yet and it releases only 6 days after this.😫

@rjejr that does happen a lot with Square games, some times they put them on the eshop a year early, sometimes release day (Guardians of the Galaxy was release day).
I really really hope this game gets some gorgeous reversible box art! The pixel art animations just look stunning, right out of my nostalgic dreams! It's a Final Fantasy Tactics renaissance! The music sounds beautiful! Absolute day one for me.
@UglyCasanova Honestly same here. Japanese VA's just sound so much better for my ears. I had to turn off English voices for the Octopath Traveler demo. English melodramatic delivery just does not sound good to me personally.
@Gasarakii GotG was on several consoles and available physical, Chocobo GP is a digital Switch exclusive, only 1 way to buy it. Well I suppose technically 2, website and Switch eShop, but neither one is working yet. It should at least show up on the Switch eShop list but when I checked yesterday it wasn't there at all. Kirby is looking more likely to get my money.
I hope I can play this with Japanese audio and English text.
I really hope choices matter in this game. If this is as advertised, the branching and endgame effects are going to be crazy.
This looks and sounds so promising!
Thanks to my dyslexia I originally read "Tingle Strategy" I had to click to see what sorta Tingle themed strategy game looked like. This looks cool to but now I really want a strategy game staring Tingle.
This game can't arrive soon enough.
