ZA/UM’s RPG Disco Elysium has caused quite a stir on other formats, even going as far as to claim three BAFTAs and four Game Awards – and it has now been confirmed for release on Switch.

The welcome news came during a chat with BBC 5live’s ‘Game On’ podcast, during which the game’s art director Aleksander Rostov jokingly complained that the interview was stopping him from creating the documentation which covers shifting the game's UI to Nintendo's console:

This interview is, at this very moment, interrupting me from writing up design documentation for the user interface and input systems for the Switch port.

As to when the game will be released, narrative lead Helen Hindpere stated that "It's going to happen soon" – so we could be playing this amazing RPG sooner than you expect.

Since its launch on PC in 2019, Disco Elysium has picked up numerous positive reviews for its engaging narrative, surprising depth, refreshing freedom and high level of character customisation. It's going to be one to watch for sure, so keep your eyes peeled for a release date and our full review.
