This year, for the 19th consecutive year in a row – no, we can't believe it either – Pikachu will be taking part in the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. Perhaps this gigantic Pikachu is more appropriate than ever, now that Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon exist.
Here's the announcement via the official Pokémon Twitter account:
As always, Pikachu will be accompanied by a cute snowman version of itself as it travels through Manhattan. Fans across America will be able to tune into Macy's Parade on November 28 on NBC from 9 am in all time zones.

I may watch the parade a little with family.
Why is this news? Us Americans are aware of this.
I can’t recall anyone ever watching this parade, only having it on in the background.

CNN: Pikachu let out his lightning attack during the parade and about 150 people were highly shocked with their hair standing up. Bad Pikachu! Bad!

Regular people can carry those Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade ballons, if you volunteer, rehearse ahead of time, then get up early AF on Thanksgiving. Hmm, I think I just described how all parades work, though.

@LUIGITORNADO Of course it's news. It's a 90 foot long 300lb rodent traveling the streets of mid-town Manhattan. Without a special news alert not many people would notice there was something special or unusual going on.
