If you like walking around town donning a Power Glove for the world to see, then this might well be the item of clothing for you. Merchoid, the videogame merchandise specialist, has unveiled its NES Classic Hoodie to an unsuspecting world; pre-orders are open for shipping in September.
Costing £44.99 / €54.99 / $54.99USD, this hoodie features 'clean lines, body panelling, two front pockets and NES button detailing on the front'. If you wanted to look like the human personification of a NES, this is the way to go.
Here's what Merchoid’s Community Manager Jessica Adams had to say about this bobby-dazzler:
Re-enter an 8-bit 80s wonderland, where Mario is king, gloves are controllers and some of the best gaming experiences are a cartridge push away. And what better way to embrace your 80s nostalgia than representing your favorite console in one stylish hoodie? Now you’re playing with power!
Is this the sort of fashion item you'll be seen strutting around in?

Does it has XL size ?
That is the ugliest jacket I've ever seen... I want one.
I want one but I can't get it 😫
I have very little fashion sense. And yet... I wouldn't be seen dead in this.
Want. Hopefully it's easier to obtain than the NES Classic Edition.
Follow-up note: I managed to pre-order one, and I was told there were only four remaining, at least of the large size. Anyone who wants one better get on it.
It looks awful, but i still want it
looks at price
Hmm maybe i don't want it
@GammaPhonic +1 & my wife will disown me
Just a thought about the Power Glove; how long until someone makes a motion-control glove you can clip a joycon to?
New, improved power gloves for Arms.
Would totally wear this in pub with the glove.
Looks pretty neat. Definitely not something I would wear but I appreciate the design and look of it..
That is awesome.
I have very good fashion...but I think I still might wear this. Actually if it didn't have those buttons on the bottom and didn't say Nintendo Entertainment System (if it was just a general conversion to clothes, or a simple "Nintendo logo) I'd definitely wear it. Those 2 things kind of cheapen it, especially the buttons.
Oh my....it's so damn ugly. I want it
This.......is actually awesome I'm not going to buy it. The price is actually half decent....the price of a game!
One of the nicer "video games clothes" I've seen though.

While traveling in outer space with Captain Eo.

Pre-orders one

I WAS SWINDLED! JK though, this looks sick.
Ordered. I don't usually buy video game themed clothes but this looks subtle and nice.
"Re-enter an 8-bit 80s wonderland, where Mario is king, gloves are controllers and some of the best gaming experiences are a cartridge push away."
Pardon my snark, but I'm fairly sure the Power Glove showed us that gloves are not controllers.
@RadoGoji lulz
Wants
I already have the Classic NES backpack and track jacket. I think this is the line.
Slightly off topic. Penny's are selling Super Mario T-shirts for €10. Picture of Super Mario with Japanese writing on top. Official T-shirts and no I didn't buy one. I nearly did though ☺️
I would totally get this if they also made a pair of gloves designed to look like the Nintendo Power Glove to go with it.
@crackafreeze Absolutely agree. In fact, decked out with modern hardware, it would be perfect for not only Arms but any boxing type game. Down the road if Nintendo adopts VR, it would be a great option for control.
I am 100% using this for Halloween this year. I'm going to go as a retro-future Captain N.
I ordered it, I think the five remaining is to make you want it more, I wanted it more. Looking forward to a SNES version....
I already ordered the NES one, so I'll pass on this one.
@Myonlyflaw The NES one STILL says that (Even though I KNOW there were several who ordered after me), so I think it's some fake marketing ploy to make you dig into your wallet quicker.
