This is the first Splatfest that has me kinda stumped as to which side to pick.

Either way, great news, as I've ran out of snails!

This is a tough decision, I might just ask my friend what side he'd choose and stick with it.

If I was in North America, I'd go with hot dogs. Hopefully a Europe one will get announced shortly.

This is the first one I'm not immediately sure of..... Which may or may not be sad. Dogs and Roller Coasters were always safe bets for me, but savory versus sweet? Not cool, Nintendo. There are so many potential conditions to consider here.... Hmmmmmm.... I think I'll go Marshmallow, though! Go team 'Mallow!

@Mikes It's not the same as roasting over a campfire in the great outdoors.
I've roasted both, and both are tasty, but hot dogs are less messy. Plus, if the last Splatfest was anything to go by, as long as I play enough matches, I'll get 24 Super Sea Snails if my team wins, and 18 if we lose, so it's no big loss if I choose the wrong team. Plus, I still got plenty of leftovers from the last Splatfest.

Hopefully this is a splatfest I will actually be able to partake in marshmellows all the way for me. Hot Dogs cannot match the deliciousness of fresh roasted smores

Question: is the team Marshmallows, or S'mores? Marshmallows are gross without the graham crackers and chocolate. I would vote on Team S'mores if that is the case.

If we're counting marshmallows as s'mores, then I'll say marshmallows. This'll actually be my first Splatfest; haven't had time every other time.

It's been a really long time since I had a BBQ marshmallow, and they are super duper yummy all fire balled burnt to a crisp outside and soft warm goodness inside, but I'll probably have to vote dog again.

Funny thing, we'll be at a BBQ most of that day and miss it yet again, but it might motivate me to bring marshmallows. Maybe I'll come home after dark and play drunk again.

Hot dog! No marshmallow for me this time. The puffiness of the marshmallows always gets stuck in my mouth, makin' it a little bit difficult for me to eat completely.

EDIT: Is it weird that I actually never tasted these two foods in an open campfire? And is quite ironic, actually. I'm an occasional camper here in Puerto Rico, but the camping that I do is quite different than in the United States or Europe.

I just got the game a week ago and absolutely loved it. What's spltafest? Why is it so hyped up? I've seen several inklings in the plaza posting about this too.

Hot diggity dog! Although I avoid hot dogs except on special occasions. I sure ate a lot of them as a kid before I learned they were made from a left-over animal parts emulsion. What did we know? My mom used to smoke in the house and gasoline contained lead....ah, memories. It was a more innocent time then.

@Really_Awkward You're talking about vegetarian marshmallows, right? Because regular marshmallows are full of gelatin (skin, hooves, tendons, etc) and are not vegetarian at all. Two vegetarian/vegan brands of marshmallows you should check out are Dandies and Sweet & Sara.

So far, Nintendo has been horrible at naming Splatfest teams.

1: eating and sleeping are both necessary for survival
2: roller coaster would obviously be more popular than water slide (but not necessarily skilled team mates).
3: comparing lunch and a snack is ridiculous

@Really_Awkward Im vegetarian as well, but sorry to burst your bubble.... Marshmallows arent vegetarian, because they contain geletain, which is made from leftovers from the animal such as bones and hooves.

I HATE marshmallows of any kind. They are my most-hated 'food' of all time. Don't ever try to serve me hot chocolate if it has marshmallows on or in it, or you'd be wearing it!

Boooo! I'll be away all weekend roasting real hot dogs & marshmallows over a camp fire. These things never work for me. Hopefully I'll be able to participate in these once fall/winter gets here.
