Even with E3 on the horizon, and new games to be announced, Nintendo is showing no signs of slowing down when it comes to many of its previously released titles. This trend can be seen with the most popular franchise available on Nintendo's handheld, Pokémon X & Y.
Beginning on 26th June, Nintendo will begin to offer two bundles in Australia including a 2DS handheld console, as well as a copy of either Pokémon X or Pokémon Y. Both consoles will be in the black/blue colour variant and will come with the Pokémon title pre-installed on the system. The system will retail at AU$179.95 and will be available while supplies last.
Pokémon X & Y continue to be Nintendo's juggernaut franchise on the handheld gaming front. It was reported back in April that the sales of the 3DS exclusive titles were in excess of 12 million units. With this bundle, as well as many others available in other regions, Nintendo is making a push to continue to get this title — as well as the handheld — into people's hands with E3 announcements coming very soon.
For you Australian readers, will you be picking up this bundle? Let us know in the comments section below.

@smikey It's just a regular 2DS with Pokemon included.
They should remove the Pokemon game and include a @PS4 game pre-installed instead would drive up sales 500%!
Did they not release pokemon X and Y to Australia yet?
@Link506 it was a global release, and australia got the same treatment as everyone else for once

Well, I hadn't really given it much thought, but I'm not interested unless Nintendo allows me to have two 3DS/2DS consoles tied to my NNID instead of one.
I could swear the equivalent bundle in Europe not only came out months ago but was a boxed copy too (thing is hardware sales are not the problem in the UK but software instead).
Better late than never, maybe?
@PS4 how about we wait for a ps4 game to get even close to pokemon x and y sales before we make these stupid comments
Seems Pokemon Y should go with a red 2DS. Weird.
