Retro City Rampage: DX is getting closer to release on the 3DS eShop, with confirmation of a February arrival given recently. The DX part of the name hints at a number of new features for the 3DS edition, and Vblank Entertainment has posted a video to show off one such addition.
It's relatively simple — you can now ambush and rob weapon trucks, as well as buy guns if you want to be more 'legit'. This will no doubt be handy for boosting your arsenal, and it looks suitably chaotic, too; we suggest that the dual analogue control of the Circle Pad Pro could be the way to go here.
The video showing this feature in action is below. In our original review we described this as a game that's a "stylish, bonkers and loving dedication to old-school gaming"; we think the video below is a good indicator of that. Let us know what you think in the comments below.

WANT!
Depends what the other controls are like e.g SNES Smash TV if the controls are like that it will be fine.
This looks like I carzy fun game and I will be getting it DAY ONE! but I do have to say I hate the thumbnails since it reminds me of back to the future...
I hope the non circle pro controls are workable as I use my 3ds xl while commuting so CP is not practicle for me.
WOW..... this looks REALLY fun...... Lets guess on a price point..... I'll start..... $4.99 would be reasonable .....
@ashlyquin It's already been priced at $9.99.
awwwww.......
Still not sold on this! If i ever do get it it will be right at home on my 3ds.
Man, I played the demo for this on my PS3 and thought the humor in it was great. I think it's more suitable for the handheld, though, and greatly look forward to getting it on my 3DS.
It was playing the sound of my childhood.
Give me the day of release so I can have a eshop card handy.
Have it on WiiWare, awesome hilarious game for any retro gamer! References around every corner, from frogger, sonic, metal gear, mario, zelda... I'll get it for my favourite handheld as well! Would love a physical version though...
@Thearnaud44 They pull bits and pieces from a lot of NES games, and there are actually some Back to the Future jokes thrown in. Don't worry it's much better then the Back to the Future game (Not that it'd be hard).
@ashlyquin its five less than all other versions except wii
Bought it ........ Love it ........ very worth the $10!!!!
