Super Mario 3D Land Launch Spreads to San Diego

Mario mania isn't just taking in New York, as Nintendo has revealed San Diego California can expect a Mushroom Kingdom-themed party next week to celebrate the launch of Super Mario 3D Land.

This Friday, "sometime between 12pm - 1:30pm" according to Nintendo, dozens of Marios in Tanooki ears and tails will race through the Westfield Horton Plaza in what the press release calls a "surprise performance". We're hoping for the Macarena, but that's just us.

WHAT: Be on the look-out in your city for dozens of Marios dressed in Tanooki ears and tails to celebrate the upcoming launch of the Super Mario 3D Land™ game for the Nintendo 3DS™ hand-held system. Super Mario 3D Land is the first Mario™ game created for Nintendo 3DS and launches on Nov. 13.
