There are Star Fox Medals up for grabs across each campaign stage.

Each stage’s Medal has two requirements: achieve a certain number of hits (these are points rewarded for defeating enemies), and ensure none of your squad members have been downed. Manage both, and the Medal is yours.

Beyond the extra challenge the medal system offers, it’s also how you unlock some of the game’s unlockables, such as Expert difficulty.

FAQs

Are Medal requirements the same on Normal and Expert difficulties?

Correct - there’s no difference between the two. With Expert difficulty’s greater challenge, even if the goal is the same, the challenge is automatically greater.

Can you earn Medals on Challenge Mode?

You cannot. This means you have to earn Medals while playing through the campaign. If you completed a stage and didn't achieve the goal, you can always replay it from the map screen before moving on.

Can you get Medals on Easy difficulty?

No - Medals are only available on Normal and Expert difficulties.

Since you need to play through the campaign to earn Medals, if you haven’t already, it’s recommended you familiarise yourself with the many Star Fox routes available so you can unlock each stage.
