Review Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition (Switch eShop)
Block Party
Minecraft is a game that needs no introduction; the quirky block building game has been a pop culture sensation for many years now, and has a port available on just about every modern platform one can name. Given the existence of Minecraft: Wii U Edition and the hybrid nature of the Switch, it was only a matter of time before...
About The Game
Minecraft is a game about placing blocks and going on adventures.
Explore randomly‐generated worlds and build amazing things from the simplest of homes to the grandest of castles. Play in Creative Mode with unlimited resources or mine deep into the world in Survival Mode, crafting weapons and armor to fend off dangerous mobs.
Create, Explore and Survive alone or with up to 8 'crafters together online, while 4 can join each other in local multiplayer on the TV or in tabletop mode, supporting both split screen and the Pro Controller. Compete with your friends in Battle, Tumble or Glide* - mini games for Minecraft console editions where you fight for survival and high scores; strategy, and sometimes just pure luck will make you the winner.
Minecraft on Nintendo Switch includes six content packs in addition to the Super Mario Mash Up which delivers:
- 40 Super Mario‐themed skins including Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach, as well as troublemakers like Bowser, Wario and all seven Koopalings
- Super Mario World itself! Professional Minecraft builders have remade the likeness of the Mushroom Kingdom and beyond, with Mario‐themed versions of the Overworld, The Nether and The End for you to explore.
- So many Mario‐inspired surprises to discover, from islands shaped like Warp Pipes to towering sculptures of Nintendo's iconic characters. We've recreated villainous hideouts, too: like Bowser's Castle, Bowser's ship, and Boo's House.
- Super Mario‐style textures, numerous Mario‐themed puzzles, dozens of character skins and music from Super Mario 64 to enjoy

Pretty much the best version of Minecraft, in my opinion, for portability alone.

I’ve tried to stay away from this game, but then I gave it a try. I really enjoy hanging out with my kids and playing this game. You kind of just lose time together. That’s really what it’s all about. You hang out, you build random stuff, and just relax. I’m really excited for the “Better Together” release that way I can continue to play this game with my kids even when they are at their moms. My daughter would play on a tablet, my son would play on Xbox One, and I of course would be using the Switch.
I wonder if you can make the Nintendo switch to go on like the mobile version of Minecraft, for example if your controller is dead, no worries you can use the console, just the console to play Minecraft, it will be a pretty cool idea, especially command blocks
