After a lot of thought, this is not only in my top 5 favourite* NES games, I think it's actually my #1 favourite. Great music and graphics, and a really fun gameplay system with two distinct styles of play and lots of level variety.

Genuinely love it. Even made my own repro Famicom cartridge and Japanaese Famicom box for it.

I know it gets a lot of hate, but give it a chance. Once you've snuck into the base, it gets really good! There's a YouTube video, YouCanBeatVideoGames, which has a great walkthrough with tips if needed.
