Topic: Wii dead after zelda release?

Yeah, they'll probably have at least a few things that they haven't revealed to us yet.

But doesn't the world end towards the end of the year?
What are we meant to play till then?

Pretty much for me...unless Nintendo has another big surprise for the Wii...but I doubt it. After this game, I'll be ready to hear some info on Pikmin 3. >.>

What would be announced. They have the first half of the year announced already. The 2nd half will be focused on wii U and 3ds. I could see the rpg's coming out in summer but that's about it.

I honestly hope the Wii is dead in thier eyes so all resources can be put into launch games. After the 3DS launch being lackluster and rumored xbox loop coming out next year they should get ready to bring the pain.

...Didn't Nintendo say the Wii U should show up in the first half of next year? I keep hearing things like it has been delayed until late next year or even 2013 or something stupid like that. :/

Well, in the UK we have Pandora's Tower and The Last Story......

Its 2nd half of next year. somewhere inbetween September and November.

Can't wait to E3. Wii U and Xbox Loop duking it out for my money.

I'm still questioning how even the most diehard Nintendo fans can still say that it's A-OK that the most popular console this gen can have little to no games for this long. Nintendo needs to change their philosphies for 3rd parties (...which they might have done), 3rd parties need to advertise, and consumers needs to stop being such sad sheep.

The 360 shot its load of High profile first party games (Gears,Forza, and maybe kinect sports). It doesn't feel that way because of all the third party support. That with Mircosoft having smaller first party support on XBLA.

A lot of people cant afford a lot of games to begin with anyway. The drought it sad but not shocking.

For me, unless I decide to get Kirby Return to Dreamland, it's pretty much dead for me after I'm finished with Skyward Sword (aside from old games I'll pick back up). It's BEEN dead for me all year! I've not had a fortune to spend on games, but Skyward Sword is the first must-have Wii game of 2011 for me. It'll be my first bought Wii game of 2011. In my 24 years playing Nintendo systems, I've not come CLOSE to getting so few games for a Big N console. This will be the very first year I've spent more (and FAR MORE at that) on a Nintendo handheld. Unless Wii U does come out, 2012 looks like a repeat of 2011, as there are no Wii games on my 2012 wish list.

Nintendo hasn't even kept VC, and barely WiiWare going for Wii owners! Throw us a frikkin' bone! In America, at least, Nintendo next to gave up on the Wii beginning with the new year, 1 1/2 to 2 years before Wii U's arrival (the date of which we still haven't a clue). And with the Project Rainfall games just begging for release and consumption by starved fans here, it didn't have to be that way. But, I won't get off on that.

For a couple of decades, Nintendo has been able to give just attention to its console and handheld at the same time. All of a sudden, this year it was like 3DS was all they could handle! And in the past, time leading up to new Nintendo consoles has not been this bare bones for the current console.

I hope Nintendo/NOA has something up its sleeve for 2011 in advance of Wii U. It seems that prior to the release of a new console is a bad time for Nintendo to throw in the towel on its current console. People on the fence about getting a Wii U might wonder if they too will be left behind a year and a half before the next console is released!

And I want to say, I criticize Nintendo because I care. Same as I would my favorite sports teams when they're losing, or their coach makes a lousy roster decision.
