I like you.
But I'm going to be honest.
Not many people own a Wii U (compared to other platforms it's on, PC XBLA, IOS and Android.) and it's not going to be Jeb's or Notch's time porting to the Wii U.
I would sign but they seem to want my address and other details.. so not happening.
NO! I'm not losing even more hours of time on my Wii U now!
I've already wasted my life on the Xbox version! breaks up in tears

But I don't think Minecraft will/should be ported to the Wii U.
I don't it's really necessary - having a PC and Xbox version should be enough for people to choose from, and porting it again would just mean a lesser version of the game for another console.
Minecraft is a good game, without question. But simply from what Nintendo are known for and what people await from Wii U's titles, MinecraftU shouldn't exist. Not only people will be disappointed with a 'surprise' type thing on the next E3 because people already own the game on many devices but also Notch will lose a substantial amount of money which could also mean no more innovative style games from Notch. People will be disappointed to see a Minecraft game instead of a new Metroid, Kirby or Pokemon game, you know? (I didn't mention Zelda or Pikmin because their releases dates are already estimated and confirmed).

By the way, I typed in Minecraft WiiU in the search bar at the top and the first thing that came back was a topic about how Minecraft should come out on the Wii U.
I can guarantee there are at least 5 other topics asking the same thing (in some cases for the 3DS, and in others for the regular Wii), and I always come into these topics and say the same thing.
It's nothing personal, but I am bloody tired of people enthusing how brilliant Minecraft would be on X Nintendo console. It wouldn't. Minecraft without colossal procedurally generated worlds or indeed mods is incredibly dull.
