Its funny how bubba got a lot of hate towards making this. I still think you should make this close to or at the release date of the game.

Will their really be a need for multiple communities. I mean I'll join the Nlife one and then one's for other sites, but everyone starting their own community seems absurd.

Thought it was 8 people per community.

Sorry what I was thinking of is you can make up to 8 communities, from the Iwata Asks.
Also from the interview:

Far from confirmation of anything but interesting that it shows 8 people (including the player).
Also there's another screen that ranks the people in the community from gold to bronze or whatever and it also has 8 Miis.

Including the player it's 9.
