Topic: The New Denpa Men

Different topic, but I'm very confused how you are supposed to get new denpa men when you run out of denpa to catch. It says try a different location?? Ignoring the fact that it is super hot and I don't really want to play this game outside since I have been playing only docked, I wouldn't have wifi outside. Does the game not realize the Switch is not in fact a mobile phone?

@Daniel36 From what I read elsewhere, you have to get past the 10th stage before you're able to find that last monster in Cave With Great Treasure. I was replaying that stage a bunch waiting for that monster to spawn before I finally googled what was up.

@FishyS I've been taking my Switch to work and along when I go out. Denpa Men are everywhere, at every stop. Stores, parking lots, offices. I have caught Denpa Men from the passenger seat as my husband drives us here and there. If you walked through a neighborhood, you would pick up Denpa Men from all the houses/routers around you.

@utopianmachine But... I wouldn't have wifi in any of those places. Is that just different in different countries maybe? The wifi would all be password protected here. tbh I don't want to take my Switch to any of those places, but I wouldn't have Internet access even if I did.

@FishyS Not having wifi isn't a problem. You close the game, open it again, and choose Offline Catch on the right side of the screen. You can catch like up to 8 Denpa Men when offline. When you are connected to the internet again, you go to your Tower to add those 8 Denpa Men to your Box.

@SuperCesco I have an extra Beserker. I need any of the last three - Salamander, Torch Ghost, Pawn.
I'm not finding an option to gift vouchers to people. I've only cleared the 5th stage. Is it something that opens later?

@utopianmachine I got lucky and got Pawn on the first try. Also, but that was a different save, if you get lucky with the Fox dude, you get a really cool looking Fox mask.

It opens up right after you finish stage 7.

This evening I discovered that when you are inside a Denpa Man house in your village - the little houses you can decorate — if you press L, you can invite a Denpa Man to move into the house! Discovered this by accident.

Also, when it comes to Breeding, if you breed Denpa Men of the same ability, you sometimes get the better version of that ability. So the Static ability becomes Lightning, Fireball becomes Firecracker, Small Heal becomes All Small Heal. Two exclamation points appear with your characters, and it shows antenna energy coming from both. So they can't breed again, neither one. This is unlike regular breeding that still allows one of the two to breed again.

@SuperCesco I see that you sent the Salamander. I wish I had beaten Stage 7 for you so I could return the favor. I actually got it yesterday. I have been just replaying the 2nd stage over and over now for the Torch Ghost and Pawn voucher. I'm savoring the game. I wish I could return the gift you sent, but I don't anticipate beating that stage for at least a week or two.

Just FYI, you can't send the rarer vouchers.. or you technically can buy it costs jewels.

What happens if you complete a voucher collection? I am nowhere near for any of the levels.

I completed the Vouchers for the Lava Stage this morning. I just kept playing the stage over and over, avoiding or running from monsters I didn't need vouchers for.

As soon as you clear the stage, it triggers the voucher competition and you get awarded all the items associated with that stage.

I've just been doing events lately and completely ignoring story progression 😆 I should probably actually do level 8 someday.

A bunch of people on my friend list are level 90 and 100 already 👀

@FishyS hey if it makes ya feel better I also do that in practically every game with events. 😅

So I got pretty lucky scoring vouchers in the ghost event.l, so I figured I'd use that 50% and 20% chance increase on vouchers that I got on that item drop event, to fill it up even more.

Well, that turned out to be a lie. 73% chance increase in total. Out of the 20 or so battles I did, I got ONE voucher. Just ONE. It was one I needed, fortunately, but the boss battle gave me nothing.

Percentages in games are LIES!!! LIES I TELL YOU!!!

I'm savoring the game also. I haven't unlocked the Casino yet. Just doing this Summer Ghost event right now. And yeah, I've seen a reddit thread of folks complaining about having like nearly 300% chance increase on vouchers and still not getting drops. I was able to get all the drops for the 2nd stage after replaying the stage maybe like 20-25 times.
