I would personally love a service like the NES - Switch Online Service but then for GB/GBA. I've spend so much time with those games, and having them on the go just like the old days would i.m.o. be awesome.
So; which GB/GBC/GBA games would you like to see in a NES - Switch Online Service fashion?
To keep it interesting you don't have to stick to stuff just released by Nintendo.
One of my top picks would be; Wario Super Mario Land 3
Actually, i prefer playing GBA games on NDS lite due to :
1. Full games library GBA and NDS in physical.
2. Cheaper NDS lite price than Switch.
3. Easy to turn on / off the machine.
4. Lighter weight than Switch.
5. Pocketable size.
The Cons are just only two:
1. Smaller monitor size.
2. Weaker sounds volume.
Overall, i don't need GBA games on Switch as Digital download if i can get the physical cart from Ebay and play them with NDS lite.
I'd prefer to buy the games I want to play and not rent at all. The nes service as is is going to be overflowing with games but you may only play a handful of them.
Advance Wars/Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising
Astro Boy: The Omega Factor
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow/Circle of the Moon/Harmony of Dissonance
Final Fantasy IV/V/ VI Advance
Fire Emblem/Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
Golden Sun/Golden Sun: The Lost Age
The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap
Mega Man Zero
Metroid Fusion/Metroid: Zero Mission
Ninja Five-O
Just for starters.
The GBA has a rich library, and it's insane to me that the only Nintendo console to officially support VC releases for them is a home console. Especially when they now have a system that is as powerful as a home console that is also fully portable.
Very understandable. (I feel like I'm one of the only ones but;) I prefer having the games digitally. It's just way more convenient for me since I don't like carrying a bag full of games around all the time. Addtionally; I like the NES online service as it allows me to access games I remember from the old days and go on quick nostalgia trips without having to spend too much money on buying them physical version.
That the NES service (and if a GBA service would exist, that one too) is going to be overflowing. I agree! Though I'm not that bothered by that as I have always had an overflowing library. In my opinion this is a good thing since it means that it must have something for everyone. Especially with these old games, everyone gets the nostalgia trips from different games, as back then the game libraries were much smaller and thus the choice of games was much smaller.

@Cissero I not only want this, it is near the top of my wish list for Switch. The 3rd gen Pokemon games are an obvious want, but I also want the Fire Emblem and Advance Wars titles, The Gold Sun titles, Zoids Legacy (extremely unlikely but a personal favorite from when I was a kid) Those DBZ Legacy of Goku games, the Harvest Moon titles, the Earthbound port, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, and the Megaman Battle Network titles.
While I can play most of the original releases still, I would much rather have them on my Switch rather than needing to keep a DS lite charged.
Also there is the chance that, if we got the Pokemon titles - they could make them compatible with Pokemon Bank and allow us to transfer Pokemon straight to the more recent games, instead of having to put them through gen 4, 5, 6 and 7 before Sword and Shield. Another cool potential benefit would be re-released the very exculsive special gen 3 events they had back in the day that most people had no chance to play.

@Anti-Matter There are some differences between the originals and the remakes especially in terms of event content. Though I never played the events legitimately because you had to attend special conventions in a very small number of locations... In the 3rd gen games events to capture Mew, Deoxys, Ho-Oh and Lugia were in the games that weren't in later entries, complete with special music and locations. The Deoxys theme is especially good! And the Mew event is the one and only time you could have caught a legitimate shiny Mew!

@Heavyarms55 Exactly my thoughts. I'm a sucker for having everything on one system, and that's why I love the switch so much. That I can have everything with me, on the go, but also on TV. It's the best all in one package. That's why have the GBA games would be so suitable as well
The addition of having transferable pokemon in that way would be a Cissero Kid dream come true.
Besides that there are so many games I would love to re-experience again; For example Yu-Gi-Oh dungeon dice masters is an easy time-sink for me. I would not mind paying to have a wide array of GBA games on the switch.

I think I'd only play Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen (if it includes compatibility with current gen games) and obviously the Super Mario World remake as long as there's no SNES content on Switch Online.
@toiletduck
Btw, Pokemon FireRed / LeafGreen is counted as Generation 1 or 2 ?
Pokemon Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire are counted as Generation 6 (Mega Evolution) but the Pokemons are from Generation 1 to 5.
@toiletduck I believe Pokémon (especially with compatibility) could indeed be a great selling point. Personally I would love to experience Pokémon red, gold, and ruby once more as I sank many many hours into those.
Yet, I would also be very interested in simply trying out the many titles I didn't get to play as a kid. Great titles these below would be lovely to experience:
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow/Circle of the Moon/Harmony of Dissonance
Final Fantasy IV/V/ VI Advance
Fire Emblem/Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
Golden Sun/Golden Sun: The Lost Age
The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap
