Apparently there’s not a thread for this game, which is surprising given it’s one of the most highly rated AAA games of the generation. PS4/X1 versions also sit at 92, PC version at 93

I was reading a new interview from the devs, and these guys are truly remarkable. Anyone curious about this game or Larian Studios should read this

I started playing and I can already tell this one is a real classic. The sheer amount of depth is mind boggling and I love that about it.

Great game, played it on PS4 last year.

Just waiting for the inevitable physical release on Switch.

I don't think it's a very Nintendoey game really. Probably why there's a low interest here.

This sort of game has a mainly PC audience.

@Dezzy

I think it would be a shame if people ignored this because it is seen as not a 'nintendo' game. Surely we should be happy that great games of any style are coming to the Switch. Does that mean we should ignore The Witcher 3, Wolfenstein, Doom, Skyrim, Dark Souls?

@Magonigal

I definitely didn't say SHOULD at all. People definitely shouldn't ignore those games. Although they're differently suited to a Nintendo console aren't they. This game is suited to a keyboard and mouse approach moreso than those other games you list.

Question, how does this game's battle system compare to Pillars of Eternity? I have tried PoE but... well, the story's kinda interesting, but the gameplay befuddles me completely! Is this one easier to get into?

@Dezzy

Fair enough, it is better suited to keyboard/mouse but i just think it would be nice to see Switch as just as good as other consoles and not only suitable for cartoony, family games

@Magician I hope for this! I played it a little on PC (pirated) but I want to experience it whole on a damn cartridge!

No need for hope. Today Divinity Original Sin 2 was rated for a physical release in Murica.

I have the digital version on my switch but with everything else i haven't been able to play it yet. But if they do a physical I will probably double dip just to free up more space.

@darkfenrir
The game works fine on a controller. A bit more fidgety than mouse and keyboard, but it does not impact my enjoyment at all. I have the game on the PS4, only because the switch does not support splitscreen co-op, and am playing the game with my wife and daughter (two different files). The combat is much easier to gett into than Pillars of Eternity because it is all turn based. One character goes at a time. Also, it has difficulty levels that really dial down the challenge if you are more interested in the story/ non-combat aspects of the game. It's one of the best Role Playing games I've played this century.

@Batty5 I see, hopefully Divinity will explain their stuff better than PoE did then... or maybe it was just the problem of the class I picked lel

Hello Nintendo Life community, I was wondering if anybody could help me? I want to buy Divinity: Original Sin II but i want to play it solo AKA without multiplayer. So my question is can i play this game solo or is this a multiplayer only game where i have to play with others online. Any info on this question will be appreciated thanks.

EDIT: MY QUESTION HAS BEEN ANSWERED THANX 2 EVERYONE ON THIS FORUM.

@CurryPowderKeg79

It's a single-player game which just has added co-op if you want to play it like that

Zuljaras

It is a single player-game.
Just a reminder for all the game is up for pre-order from Limited Run Games. I pre-ordered my copy on the 6th.

I have to wait to get my order in. Funds aren't unlimited here and glad the preorder windows gives time.

Pre-ordered my physical copy from LRG at the weekend. It’s possible that the purchase was slightly wine-assisted... That shipping cost to the UK is no joke! That said, I’ve been wanting to try Divinity II for ages, and it’s hard to resist a physical release.

I have it on pc and it's brilliant. I'm thinking of double dipping and getting it on switch to play in portable mode. Does the game still look and play smoothly as I heard their was a few minor problems but I think October's patch fixed it.
