So today, it finally happened, Gears for Breakfast announced A Hat in Time for Switch, and a new DLC update for the current versions of the game that will also eventually come over to Switch when the game eventually releases.
On the one hand, the game looks charming and seems to be really fun to play...
...but on the other hand, I've apparently heard that the guy who directed/designed/programmed/wrote for the game is an alt-right supporter/apologist, doxxed people and didn't pay/credit an artist who made art for the game.
It also doesn't help that Jontron, a known white supremacist, lent his voice for the game.
So, I'm gonna do the same thing I did when I heard that Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. had that GamerGate supporting scumbag Adam Baldwin voicing the main character and simply cannot in good conscience support a game that has a toxic individual associated with it.

Hello person blatantly copy and pasting from other websites and never posting until now.

Cool story. In other words, you had no intention to buy it.

@HollowGrapeJ I was going to break down and buy A Hat in Time myself too, and funny thing was is that I almost got it yesterday on top of it, so it’s funny to see that my waiting all this time actually paid off.

First the "Elegant" way they handle requests for a Switch release earlier this year, now the "Elegant" way their Community Manager is handling things about no DLC on consoles.
@Yosheel I think there's a certain consistency in graphics it lacks. I don't know exactly what it is, but I know what you're talking about. A lack of polish maybe too. It looks alright, but I feel that any excitement I had kinda disappeared over the years.
I can see why they were so aggressive in their “it’s not coming to Switch” stance. They couldn’t risk losing any sales at launch.
Realistically though ever major indie game is likely to make it to all commercially viable formats eventually. And it’s looking like Switch is going to become the default option for indies to launch on.
